Rustic style with a delicatessen as the centre piece. extensive menu featuring Greek and Cypriot specialities - ideal for sharing, tapas style as portions are quite big and served very hot
Amuse bouche of kalamata olives in oil/balsamic plus a feta cream sauce with bread or toast
60g smoked Sardine fillets in oil €4.90
Oven baked Chios Mastelo with thyme honey €6.80
Buffalo burger served with small pitta bread and mixed green salad €8.50
Over baked potato dices - very crispy €3.50
2 glasses Greek wine each €5.00
Friendly service (Greek) but did not have Cypriot wine by glass at normal price - only at €7.00 for Keo Maratheftiko - why is Cyprus wine more expensive than imported wine?
No coffee offered even though we bought Chios cheese from delicatessen as well
€33.70 for 2p - tasty food at a reasonable price

Don't expect an actual restaurant at Syntrofia but expect to eat well! It is actually a delicatessen with well chosen good quality products (cheeses, meats, etc) from various areas in Cyprus (and probably the Greek islands) that you could either purchase or ask to be prepared according to the appetizing menu. We were invited there by friends who live in Nicosia and love the place and were equally impressed. Everything we tried was delicious (including the salad with cheese, the feta in phylo and honey, the fava bean dip, the buffalo burgers and the halva dessert). A bit out of the town center, but definitely worth the drive

During the Xmas holidays, we were looking for a place to have some wine. A friend remembered this place - she had been there once again. It is rather unique in a sense that it is more of a Greek deli. Lots of Greek wines, cheese and charcuterie on the menu. However, wine by the glass selection is limited. What was very disappointing was the service. It was a Saturday afternoon. Only 3 tables were occupied. Chose to sit at the sofa instead of a table and we were asked to move because we were not a large enough company. I told the waiter we would only be an hour and we would then leave to allow for the crowds to storm in. It was off-putting. Even though we enjoyed the wine and small plates we ordered, it left us with a bitter taste.

My husband and I found this uninteresting as a restaurant but sincere.
The owners are a lovely couple and have taken the time and know-how to import the best they could find of well known delicacies from all around Greece. We were happy to see this as we now have somewhere finally to purchase our AUTHENTIC Greek favorites. Sun dried tomatoes from Santorini, homemade perfect Taramosalata, Arseniko cheese from Naxo, Ladotiri from Mytilini, Kalamata olives, just to give you an idea. The choices are endless...for take out to feel up your fridge for snack time.
The experience of eating here was a disappointment and everything overpriced for literally nothing! All they do is bring you their goods on plates! There are no recipes, no originality, no real dishes and the portions are tapas style. Various sauces did not match with what was served for instance the meze pork 'Apaki' which was delicious but ignore the sauce. The cheese platter selection was very poor and the bread was pretty average and non existent. They did not even have pitta bread which they have not included and will not for now, so how can one eat any kind of Greek meze or dip without pitta bread drizzled with oregano and olive oil? Their selection of ouzo was also limited, but they are working on this and will improve the wine list they mentioned... Overall it was simply nice but not a place we would make any kind of reservation.
Most certainly the car engine will stay ignited as I collect my deli goods from time to time...although being mostly in Greece my husband and I get the real deal!

Thanks G for your kind review! Syntrofia always looking for clients comments and thoughts!.We are a bit sorry that we did not manage to make you understand that we are not a gourmet restaurant, dealing with intellectual recipies, but just a friendly bistro where you can taste the authenticity/upper quality of our products. For us it is a definite decision not to create a menu with many sauces, and products that are blended and you can not finally taste the original flavor. Tapas style mezedes have been created in order to give clients the opportunity to taste the whole range of our goods without paying too much. Moreover, you are mentioning that the choices are endless but the cheese platter selection poor... ! Sounds quite strange! we usually ask our customers to make their own selection....
In Greece you can always find good deals and of course if you visit the village where the supplier is located much better! But please be aware that the offered products are all very deeply researched as to achieve the best quality standards and the suppliers are chosen one by one, moreover Cyprus is an island and the transportation is a real matter. Being fair, as I am sure you are, Is good to compare under the same factors.
Thanks for your input! Thanks for the time you spend for sharing your review!
and We are happy to announce you that already have the greek pita, you asked! ouzo to be shipped..!!
