The village is about 40 minutes drive from Limassol. There are lots of souvenirs shops, and an old church in the village centre. You can spend about two hours or less to see the entire village. The drive to the village is very nice through small towns and hilly areas. If you have some spare time it's worth a visit.

Nice place with shops full of traditional foods, a lot of cafes around and a wide range of tavernas. We tried Themistoklis Taverna and the food experience was unforgettable. You should try it!

Echo comments of previous reviewer. Dempsi (a charming blue-eyed Cypriot - not an Irishman despite the name) has a studio full of lovely glass objects made by him, and also bronze figures, decorative brass pieces and jewellery. Clearly, a very talented man. Reasonable prices for one-off pieces, considering what one pays for mass produced items in UK stores. Omodos itself is also a very pretty village in the Troodos mountains, although definitely on the tourist trail. Worth a day trip!

This is a real old style, but living, village with a type of stone cobble streets and traditional Cypriot shops. There is a great sense of peace about the place and one almost senses that time has stood still here for many years. Local honey and other local produce is good value in the shops and there is a nice selection of small restaurants all willing to please visitors. Well worth a visit.
