Bad service.. definitely not Hilton standards

The hotel is good with spacious rooms and comfy beds but the staff definitely needs to improve and up their game. It is not Hilton standards to deliver water after 30 mins and 3 calls to room service. The same with the house keeping department where i made 3 calls for a toothpaste and ultimately i had to look out for a house keeping personnel in the passage and ask for it.
The staff is not very pro active, not rude but definitely not friendly.
Three stars just for the room and the view.

We arrived at this hotel today and had problems immediately from check in. We were given our room keycard, which didn’t work, so we had to go back to the front desk to be told that the keys don’t work right away and we should wait 5 minutes and try again. Once we finally got in the room, it wasn’t up to the standard we expected, the furniture is dated and in need of replacement and the beds are easily the worst I’ve had in any hotel. We ordered a pizza from a restaurant in kirchberg, which was delivered but it took the front desk 30 minutes to call us to tell us it had arrived, obviously it was cold and inedible. The front desk staff couldn’t seem to comprehend why this was an issue despite the fact our room number was clearly written on it. Also, the prices of food at the hotel are ridiculously high so we won’t be eating here. Avoid this hotel at all costs!

I did not enjoy the stay at Doubletree in Luxembourg. This place really needs some improvements. First of all I would look at the customer service manners of all receptionists. No smile, no good afternoon. My check-in was silent. I was not informed where and when breakfast is served, what are the amenities and how to get to the elevator. Room was pretty spacious with the balcony; however there is no way to use it. The window is blocked and the balcony hasn’t been cleaned for ages. I saw a lot of butts there and I found it disgusting. I stayed one night end of May when the temperatures outside were pretty high and decided to use the pool. I asked the receptionist to open the door to the garden but rude lady said that they open it only during summer. Spending time in aquarium with no fresh air is not really enjoyable. The whole area of pool needs some refurbishment. The following day I used breakfast – I went to eat outside and I found plenty of butts around. Not sure if the cleaning personnel went for vacations few years ago and did not return since then. Overall, the place is in a really bad condition so if you really need to stay there make sure you are not overpaying for that 2* hotel…and make sure that you reserve enough time for check out. The line to the reception was really long and 2 receptionists seemed not to be bothered.

I know it is surely frustrating when expectations are not met, however, as we take guests review seriously and constantly work to improve our services quality, I do hope that we will have a chance to welcome you back in the future in our property to alleviate your impression of the DoubleTree by Hilton Luxembourg.

The name Hilton used to be synonymous with quality but since it’s rebranding has failed to impress, this particular hotel has certainly not helped my view. First impressions were ok with a generously sized foyer but the check in time was unacceptable although the receptionist was very nice and because we were on a motorbike we got the parking for free! The room was nice enough with tea/coffee facilities but very poor WiFi and TV reception. The main problem was the awful food we were offered as an evening meal - no A La Carte Menu just a buffet with a strange mixture of dodgy looking meat, vegetables and pasta - I assume this was because they were so busy the kitchen wouldn’t cope with the amount of orders (not good enough I’m afraid)! Breakfast wasn’t much better to be honest with a massive queue just to get into the dining room - if I want this sort of service at mealtimes I could go to Butlins!! All in all no different to any Travelodge we have stayed in and certainly not 4*

We are so lucky that our room is upgraded to a suite for the whole stay for 4 nights. The room is excellent, sparkling clean, all amenities provided. We are 100% satisfied with the room. However, it took a long time to do the check in and out. Even though not many ppl waiting, there are only 1-2 staffs working at the front desk, the others are walking around or chatting on phone. Moreover, no clear instructions to show ppl where to line up. Breakfast is normal and not many choices. We stayed for 4 days and there is nth changed for 4 days’ breakfast. On the third day we had breakfast at the peak time and they didn’t refill the food quickly, no bread no egg for 5 minutes, that’s a bit disappointed. Dinner was delicious but a bit expensive, the menu is not clear in price, we were quite surprised by the bill. Thanks a lot for keeping our room clean through the whole stay.

Hotel did not meet our expectations. Had to wait quite some time to check-in. Person at the reception was not really friendly. Did not get any information about the wellness, except that it was located at the -1 level.
Once we arrived at the wellness they almost send us back up since we needed a towel warranty number from the reception (no joke). No working lockers in the changingroom for women.
Room itself was okay. Breakfast bellow average. Not the first Hilton that has lost its glory.
