This is all natural unspoiled beauty of the country the Aquarium is not to large but has very interesting facts and displays to view.It is remote area and the building use to be a old ice house turned into a Aquarium. There is no other like this enjoy .

As previously mentioned, this is a small aquarium but we think it is well worth a visit. We had it to ourselves when we visited and enjoyed being able to spend as much time as we wanted looking at the exhibits. It was interesting to see the local fish, especially the sting rays in the open top tank and the large cod. We also enjoyed fishing for crabs in the tank outside. It is only a short walk from the centre of town, reasonably cheap to get into, and a very pleasant place to spend some time.

I've heard it should be amazing to dive in the Faroe islands. But since I don't have the certificate this is a good alternative. You get the chance to see a lot of the fascinating fish and shellfish. The house though, isn't that big so the conditions is for a many hours visit. The aquarium should also be expanded for the larger fish.

It is really great if you bring younger kids. A big part of the aquarium is made so it is possible for the kids as well as anybody else can touch the fishes.

In an out of the way location accessible only by car or taxi (or a really long walk), this aquarium is small but well kept. It consists of several small tanks and a few larger ones. The fish are mostly local and perhaps ones that you haven't seen before. Because most of the food served in the Faroes is either lamb or fish, it's not a bad idea to see exactly what you are eating!
