Although we would not stay in Sliema again, the apartment was very centrally located with 2 supermarkets very close and plenty of restaurants and shops within easy walking distance.
The towels were oldish and some were frayed. The sheets on the double bed were not the right size, and the bottom sheet was not fitted.
The hand basin in the en suite bathroom was the smallest we had ever seen, about the size of a dinner plate. The result was that every time you washed your hands, water splashed onto the floor. The hot water geyser was very small and we often ran out of hot water.
The apartment is very quiet (apart from the Church bells!) and comfortable. The well-stocked supermarket is a few steps away and buses, boat trips and car hire within a 5 minute walk. The apartment is on the fourth floor and has a small lift - great for able-bodied adults and older children, but some groups would find it difficult. The rooms are large and airy and the kitchen is well-stocked. Wi-fi is fast. This is run as an efficient small business; we never met the owner but her assistants were very helpful and ran very punctual transfers to and from the airport. The contract included a charge for electricity above a certain amount, but I think we used about 20% of that. We had some problems with hot water in the main bathroom but this is a new rental and I expect these to be solved. A towel drier would be helpful as Sleima is very humid but the towels were excellent.
