The waitress seemed very keen to push the specials. Possibly under instruction from the kitchen to use up those dishes. The Tuna fishcakes were three semicircular grey rubbery lumps. The beef special was substantial but overcooked, it laid on top of watery mashed potato, possibly there had been a salty accident in the kitchen area while the dish was being prepared. Perhaps I was just unlucky and the chef was absent, ill has recently left. They should give the waiting staff a holiday in January and February as it was not particularly busy and no one seemed particularly interested.
If I try Ta' Kris again I will make sure it is busy and avoid the specials.
