My god this hotel!!!

The only good 2 things about this hotel are the location in the center of il-Gzira facing the port, and the BIG good thing is the rooftop pool and terrace.

Except that it s a nightmare!!! Here is what we experienced this last days:
_ no wifi at all anywhere except at the reception or barely in the rest of the venue
_ the employees are rude and lazy. Specially the one at the rooftop!!! Most of the time if you need anything you better do it by yourself as no one is willing to help you or even answer you
_ we had to ask 3 times for our room to be cleaned up 1 day and it took them 3h to finally send someone
_ the bathroom is a night mare= too small, no intimity with this weird doors, shower is super old and impossible to stand for someone over 1.80m, every time you take a shower the bathroom becomes a swimmingpool as there is no wall or glass against the water spreading around, the bathtube is from world war 2.......
_ the breakfast is included but WHAT A BREAKFAST!!!! My god juices are water based, scrumble eggs are whiter than the white colour itself, no choice, very poor quality of food, disgusting coffe....
_ the hotel is surrounded by kebab places and fastfoods so good luck to find any good venue
_ beds are smaller than usual size and horrible
_ view on an interior court with buildings looking like Bagdad or Damas ones now
_the gym...what a gym...a mini room with 6 machines also from wolrd war 2!!! Everything is super used, old, dirty, destroyed....on top of it no AC in the room so it s a sauna!!!
_ ahhhh about the sauna= the sauna isn t free!!!! You have to prebook the sauna and pay 15 euros per hour!!! WHAT A JOKE!!!
_ in your room you have to pay to use the safe AND to use the "kitchen"
_ 1 day we wanted to use that poor gym at 18:45 the reception almost refused to give us acces (yes you have to go to the reception to get the keys lol) as they decided it closes at 18:00 but it s not written anywhere
_ the other day we arrived at the rooftop pool at 10:00 and no one was there to give towels or sell drinks so we went down 7 floorts to the reception to complain after 50 min and then the employee finally showed up and complain to us saying that she was supposed to start at 11:00 and she had to finish breakfast service before (breakfast which finishes at 10:00....) ... SHE COMPLAINT TO US THE CLIENTS!!!!

Useless and rude staff in an old overrated hotel where basically nothing works properly or is good in any way..... AVOID THAT PLACE!!!

Hotel is in front of a busy street, breakfast is poor, juices are water based, service is terrible, no help to obtain proper invoices, taxis booked in the hotel are overpriced, receipts of services are useless and it is an old building with outdated furniture. TV channels are mostly Maltese and reception uses interns to attend guests. A no return option!

Room tip: Avoid the hotel.

We stayed here on a one week holiday I suppose that old saying is true "you get what you payed for" we checked in got a room it was awful we overlooked the rear all pipes and a bloomin great fan kicking out cooking smells we could not have balcony door open, they did move us though !the room was adiquate but nothing like the photos air conditioning kept breaking down not good in heat!!food was ok but menu a bit samey and not much choice, meat, fish and veg and a small salad bar there was no hand sanitiser anywhere like in Spain staff were ok but I got the impression all this holiday thing to them was a bit too much and they had not quite prepared for it,location was good plenty of bus routes into Valletta niceish view of bay

We recently stayed in this hotel for 9 days. We booked room only in a seaview room. We had breakfast in the cafe outside which was very good and reasonable. Our room, 412 was of good size, beautiful views of the bay and clean. It had plenty of storage space with safe and small kitchen at extra nightly cost. The bathroom was tiny and would be a problem for anyone bigger than average. My one annoyance with the room was that there was a step down onto the balcony which was not posted on the balcony door and for safety reasons should have been.Otherwise, this hotel seemed to be well run with daily cleaning and towel changes. All of the staff were polite and helpful. This is a 3 star hotel and in my opinion easily merits it's rating.

Really cosy place and really nice people working in here with only one little problem - no window to beautiful sea and city. If to leave that out then 5 out of 5. Breakfast for 6 euros and a big amount choises. Totally would recommend for young people or families.

Thank you for your almost perfect score, we're glad you enjoyed your stay and found our services to be to your liking.

We're glad you want a view in your room to enjoy the beautiful sights Malta has to offer. However unfortunately we have a limited number of seaview rooms as such we would recommend booking far in advance, 3-4 months ahead to be able to guarantee your prefered room type.

In regards to breakfast, we're pleased that you enjoyed it, however should you have any suggestions for improvement do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for traveling with us, we look forward to hosting you again.
