As it was recommended we took the public bus to the village, it takes about 30 min and is good because there is little parking there.
The place is very busy on Sunday with a lot of stands with all kind of stuff. It is possible for tourist to find presents if needed. The locals buy fruits, vegetables and fish for the week.

MArket is fun, but very crowded. Almost impossible to find a parking space, and almost impossible to leave the area because of traffic congestion. But worth being in there.

This market is awful. I’m sure the town it is in is quite lovely when it isn’t on (which is why I have given it a 2). There are 5 fish stalls and 100s of stalls selling counterfeit / cheap quality items - most of which you can’t / wouldn’t buy as a tourist (eg a pan set / bleach). On the plus side it was an opportunity to explain to our 7 year old the issues / dangers surrounding counterfeit goods.

We visited Marsaxlokk Sunday market the other week as part of a tour from Qawra the market was good with a wide variety of goods and stalls , it was very busy and we were informed later that it was the first Sunday the weather had been so warm and sunny this year . It is well worth a visit and the tour we dud also included a stop at the Blue Grotto

Sure there’s some people selling fish but there’s as many selling trainers and hoodies. It’s overcrowded and the buses are rammed getting there on a Sunday. It’s a cute fishing town but try going a different day than Sunday. I ended up walking to Ghar Dalam instead.
