Lots of character, small pool with nice bbq area and a sun terrace upstairs. Good facilities and close to everywhere but still quiet. On street parking. Check in/out was easy. Only problem was the tv didn't work but we didn't contact the owners about this as we wouldn't of used it anyway. Can imagine it would be annoying if you wanted it though!
This was our first trip to Gozo and came a bit out of left-field for us and we weren't sure what to expect.
Tan-Nahla, a bit like Gozo, is quirky but really endearing. It is small but homely. It's got a very welcoming feel. It really does have a rustic vibe. We loved the bare stone.
The property is split over two floors with access between the two via an external staircase, although this is in an entirely private space. We thought this may be a problem for our 11-year -old son who slept upstairs as he may feel a bit isolated from mum and dad but it wasn't.
It was comfortable and clean. Wifi worked. No idea whether the TV did as we never tried. The pool is small but absolutely fine for a cooling dip.
You can see the sea from the upstairs terrace, which was a lovely spot to sit out and have a drink in the evening.
Tan-Nahla is on a reasonably busy street, but is set-back from it with access via a stone-lined passageway. It's a 10 minute walk from Xaghra town square.
We were there in the last week of October when the lack of a/c wasn't a problem. I think it would be an issue in summer. I see from a previous response that's it's planned in the very near future.
There's a newly installed washing machine in the upstairs bathroom, which was an unexpected bonus.
Our deal included a basic hire-care for the week.

We had a lovely week in this pretty cottage as a family of five adults and one child. The hosts were extremely kind and attentive throughout booking and during our stay.
Spent a week this summer. Cottage is charming & authentic. Owners are very attentive and helpful. Great new mattress! But without airco' the heat & mosquitos at night were unbearable. Spring and autumn are your best options.
