Straight from the off let me start by saying that it would be quite easy to run out of superlatives when describing Maison Cruzy, such is the appeal of this charming property, set in what can only be described as an equally charming village called Cruzy. Lets not get too giddy then, and tell you how it was for us!
Very easy and fuss-free; questions asked were quickly answered by Paddy. Our subsequent booking was made and deposits, payment, security bonds and such were easily arranged too. A few days prior to our booking Paddy e-mailed plenty of information regarding the house itself and further info about places to visit and such. All very helpful stuff indeed. Following our arrival, Emer called to ensure that we'd arrived safely and to give us plenty of additional info that proved very useful during our stay.
This wonderful house totally suited our needs as a party of 7 adults made up of 3 couples (one with an infant) and a teenager. We all loved it, without reservation. As I alluded to in the first paragraph it would be easy to go on and on but this is simply not necessary; Mason Cruzy has it all! In spades! From the spacious accommodation inside extending to the brilliant 'games barn' and pool area, all fantastic, well appointed and proportioned.
Rather than take time to recommend local cities, towns and villages to visit, of which there are many (and we certainly did not scratch the surface in the time we were there) we would simply say that the village of Cruzy itself was fabulous; we availed ourselves of the bakery daily; laughs had and smiles exchanged in trying to use what little French we knew, but getting there in the end with smiles all round. The two minute walk back 'home' with armfuls of warm baguettes or whatever delights were on offer that morning were the start of most days for us as a result! Oh, and the loudspeaker call by the Mayor to announce whoever had arrived that day, be it the fruiterer or the fish van... most useful, too! Cruzy is a lovely place to walk about; the locals really friendly.
We'd heartily recommend Maison Cruzy not just for what is a beautiful property in a wonderful village in a fantastic region, but also for the completeness of the experience; the attention of Paddy, Emer and the team. 5 stars all round.

We were lucky enough to spend 10 lovely weeks in Maison Cruzy recently. A delightful and spacious family home in the middle of the village - only two minutes walk to the bakery and the butcher! Cruzy is set amongst vineyards and there are some delightful walks from the house and in nearby villages. The wine tasting opportunities are endless and very good. The house is comfortably furnished, with a lovely French feel. It really came into its own with the arrival of warmer weather and the opening of the pool. The games barn was well used by us and our visitors.
Paddy and Emer were great to deal with from start to finish and we thank them for letting us share their fantastic home. Highly recommended!
We had a fantastic holiday in Cruzy. We had 4 adults and 2 children in our party and everyone had a great time. The kids loved the pool which was a great depth and really safe. The huge barn was fun for everyone and offered shade in the heat of the day. Paddy and Emer had thought of everything to make our stay go smoothly. The area was amazing, the kids swam in the sea, lake, pool and river. We will definitely be back for another stay soon.
One of the great challenges of travelling with lots of family is SPACE. This great home in Cruzy offered everyone the privacy they need to really enjoy a couple weeks in France. The pool and game room let the kids keep busy while the adults loafed to prepare for the next day trip. The location was wonderful for making many day trips including Narbonne, Barcelona, several wonderful beaches plus canal trips and hiking. Our favorite beach became Valras, about a 30 minute drive, because of the nice beach, available beach club and great shopping area and food. Any issue with the house was quickly resolved and the town of Cruzy was a nice experience to meet folks and live in their world. Thanks to Paddy for a great trip.
