Probably the only place worth stopping on the journey to Wellington! Food and service is always great, awesome value for money and a great little courtyard out the back for the doggies to stretch their legs too while you fill the belly.

The Woolshed is a lovely café set off the maim highway. It has a spacious main area plus a sunny outside courtyard. We chose the eggs benedict with bacon and the pulled pork nachos. The bene was served on sour dough with a reasonable hollandaise dusted with paprika. it could have done with a little greenery and a bit more acid in the sauce. Otherwise quite good. The search for the best bene in the country continues. The nachos was a good-sized dish with plenty of pork buried in the centre. Nice enough. This place is worth a stop.

Nice external appearance, reasonable food but overpriced for portion size , didn’t have coffee on this occasion. Plenty of off street parking
