Far away from the tourist crowds in Reykjavik. For a mere $10, you have all day access to multiple outdoor geothermal warmed pools complete with a separate salt water geothermal area and multiple small specialty hot tubs, some with jet streams.
Pack your towel, bathing cap, shampoo and soap. Rent a lock at the front desk and enjoy. Though the appearance is not spa spanking new and shows the results of extreme weather , the pools and hot tubs are amazing. No pressure if you do not want to chat with anyone. You can just relax and stretch or swim laps.

We visited with 2 young children (4 & 1 year old) and had a great time. Only 15 minutes walk from our hotel. Family friendly price, nice and helpful staff and clean changing areas and lockers. Procedure to get to the pools very easy to follow, everything displayed in english too. Pools are outside and amazing to sit in a hot water while the temperature was under 0. Kids pool was full of toys to keep the children entertained. Stayed for 2 hours and had a fantastic time. Would definitely recommend.

Daily outdoor swimming was one of the highlights of my holiday in Iceland. The idea of sitting in a hot pool with sleet falling seems so alien however it was a brilliant experience. the facilities in the public pools are really great. everything is so well laid out from the lockers, to the pools and the space in the changing area and so clean. people were very friendly. the price is interesting, less than 1,000 .
felt really healthy at the end of the week.

Went here as a family of four, our kids loved the slides and they provide floats and armbands for them there free of charge.

One of the better value things to do in Reykjavik!

Visited this place 3 days in a row.

A godsend after a hard day in the mountains/glaciers.

Place looks a little dated but is very very clean.

Swimming pool is huge (Olympic size) and nice and warm (high 20's C).

Several hot tubs along side (ranging from 38-42 degrees).

Saltwater tub (40 C) too that was extremely popular.

20 min walk/5 min drive from the centre of Reykjavik.

Visited 3 times between 5-9pm. Always pretty busy but never felt totally overcrowded.

Something surreal about sitting in a hot tub, outside in 0 degrees temperature. Especially when it's raining/snowing (or sleet in our case).

Entry is about £7 ($10) and there's no limit really on how long you stay.

Given how fantastically expensive Iceland is, this was probably THE bargain of our trip.

Absolutely 100% recommended.
