The Leif Eiriksson statue is one that you can't really miss. Not because you have to see it but rather it is located right out front of Hallgrimskirkja. Stop, grab a picture and move on!

The irony should not be lost on you - most Vikings who needed quick wealth plundered churches for their silverware - so here is a Viking outside a big Church! Great photo backdrop

This is located right outside the cathedral so is an easy photo opportunity with some interesting facts. There are many statues and sculptures in Iceland and they are free to see so it is well worth stopping and taking the time to read the information provided in English.

Reykjavik is full of statues, this one just outside the big church. A nice statue all things considered.
