Really enjoyed our morning spent in the Silfra fissure! our Guide Zsolti had great banter and made it a very enjoyable experience. Would totally recommend everyone go check it out - have never seen such clear water. A professional, well-run organisation. Thank you!

Today we dived Silfra, part of my 25th Bday Pressie. Nick as our guide we were picked up promptly at the designated spot and headed on our way to Silfra in Thingvellir National Park. Takes about 30-40min. Had an A++ day, highly recommend diving here.
BEFORE YOU DIVE: You need to be DRY-SUIT CERTIFIED to do this as a dive. They do offer a course over 2 days in the Summer. I had to have a DIVE MEDICAL completed before this due to my medical condition and have the CERTIFIED MEDICAL OFFICER sign the form the company supplies.

On arrival we were fitted for quilted suits and dry suits. Once fitted we had to get into the van we came in (heated) and down to the thermals and woolen socks we came in. VERY WARM in all of this when it's done up. Neoprene Drysuits and seals. Silicon collar applied over neck to get good seal on neck seals.

It is a 150m walk to the water with all the gear on. This included all the weights (approx 12kg), BCD with Steal Tank, Fins and Mask as per any "shore" dive. The return trip from where you finish is 300m or so. I managed quiet well. Gear was heavy by the end.

Hot chocolate and biscuits at the end of the dive we exactly what was needed. We changed thermals once stripped out of the dry suit and quilted under suits as I was very sweaty. So toasty warm ++

Nick was a fantastic dive guide. Showed us Silfra and Baby Silfra. We even saw a duck! Vis approx 100m or so. This is just a sensational experience and something that is a bucket list dive! Thanks so much for a fantastic day

Once you get over just how cold the water is, this place is one of my favourite places I've been. The crystal clear blues and greens, the flow of the water, and the amazing fact that you can drink this glacial fed water, just ads to the fact that you're swimming between two continents. Highly recommend

The weather was cold, the snow was falling. This did not put us or the team off
Transport from the hotel.
Great trip
Very safe and not cold at all.
