Having never been to Reykjavik, we had no idea what to expect. When we got to our little apartment, we were pleasantly surprised! It was the perfect size for our family of 3. The decor is fun and modern, and it was a comfy place to come back to after a day of sight seeing. The queen bed was very comfortable, and the shades on the windows are light blocking, which is a must during the summer's never ending daylight. The sofa bed was very comfortable for our daughter, and it was a great place to eat our Skyr breakfast while planning the day at the table. We used the refrigerator a lot for take out and items bought at the grocery store for lunch, as meal prices in Iceland are very expensive. There is a lawn outside the apartment, and some friendly local cats who hang out around the place. I highly recommend this cute little place which is steps away from the Hallgrimskirkja church and main shopping/restaurant area of Reykjavik. It is in a quiet part of the town.
This little place is not luxurious BUT it IS VERY PRACTICAL and FUNCTIONAL. There was plenty of space for our family of 4 and the owner made an extra effort to bring in a cot since we have a teenage boy and a college-age daughter that needed separate beds. The beds were comfortable. The unit was clean and well equipped. It was a bit over-decorated for my tastes but homey.
We arrived at 6:30 am due to flight delays and without a good GPS. It's proximity to the very tall church steeple made it easy to find. Street parking was easy and free. It is walking distance to the downtown area.
