I had the best of the experiences in this hotel. The service was outstanding, the room as I dreamed of. Even by dealing with Iceland nature's "surprises" I felt very supported by the hotel's team, who offered to search for an helicopter to bring me back to my room the night I was missing from it due to a glacial flooding in my way back.

Wanted to drop off luggage at 0800 after arriving in country at 0630 so we could tour the country. Staff checked us into our room and allowed us access. Lost phone later in the day and they made numerous calls on my behalf to two sites I stopped at. Very helpful staff. .

Small lobby with adjacent area to watch international TV. Entrance is off public square/park area. Standard room was enough space for two of us. In-room coffee was good quality for your early morning jolt before heading out. Had small desk and a closet. Well-lit. Bed & pillows were comfy. Our 4th floor room overlooked the park, which was lovely. However, there are a few rowdy bars on the avenue, so we had a lot of night-time noise. We wanted to sleep with the windows open (room was a tad warm), but had to keep them shut to keep out the rowdy drunks. So we didn't sleep the best while here, despite accommodations being really nice. Location is really close to all the touristy areas, and easy walks to many sights.
