The house where Reagan an Gorbachev met to discuss the Cold War. Because of the historical significance, it is worth the visit.

The only relevant thing about this place is that it was the meeting place for both presidents Reagan and Gorbachev back in 1986 to work an a peace deal to stop the cold war. You cannot get into the building and it just sits there very rarely in use. Not much to see..

There was a photo of Gorbachev and Regan on the steps of Hofdi House in Hamborgarafabrikkan restaurant nearby which inspired us to visit. It's just a building - you can't go inside, but it was near our hotel so worth a look.

Well known to Icelands as the home of poet Einar Benediktsson. Known to the rest of the world as the venue for the 1986 Reykjavík Summit meeting of presidents Ronald Reagan of the United States and Mikhail Gorbachev of the USSR, which was pivotal in ending the Cold War.
Now used for official receptions and government business. Nice photo opportunity
