We (12 of us) were on the Holland Prisendam, July 2013 and had a 2 day tour of Reykjavik lined up with Jon of BR Tours. Our ship got stock in Amsterdam for several days due to mechanical issues, so Holland rearranged our schedule and now only had one day in Reykjavik. Jon arranged a 14 hr tour (which included a box lunch as we requested so we ate as he drove to save time). We did the 2 day tour in the one day and saw all the highlights: Thingvellir National Park, Waterfall Gullfoss, Kerid, Eldhestar horse farm, Hellisheidi Geothermal Power Plant, swam in Blue Lagoon, Reykjavik City Tour, hot spring Gunnuhver & of course the Geysir. I can't rave enough how accommodating BR Tours was to our change of schedule - Jon did an EXCELLANT job! We're coming back to Rekjavik in Sept 2015 and planning a South Coast of Iceland tour with them again - I know we won't be disappointed!

Jon/Orvar developed top notch adventure excursions for 15 of us. First day focused on Snaefellsnes including coastal walks in Búðir and Arnarstapi, a traditional Icelandic lunch, Snæfellsjökull drive by, and Vatnshellir cave tour. Extreme hiking near Mt Esja (Móskarðhnúkar), visit to Þingvellir national park, and Fontana geothermal baths closed out the second day. Vetted at least 25 different companies to meet our activity preferences before selecting BR Tours. Jon delivered... communication timely and execution flawless. Orvar guided both days... he's an extremely knowledgeable and experienced mountain professional who connected well with the large group. Following Orvar up Móskarðhnúkar is an experience none will ever forget. Can't recommend BR Tours highly enough.

Our guide for touring Reykjavik was Jon, we spent 3 days in Reykjavik while on a cruise stop.

Jon was very informative and we learned so much about Iceland. We visited Sputh coast, Golden circle route, blue Lagoon with many interesting stops (Icelandic horse farm, geothermal station, bridge between the 2 continents, basalt rock formations, Reykjanes peninsula).

Thank you Jon for making our trip to Iceland so memorable! It was the highlight of our Viking passage cruise!

Our family had the most amazing trip with Jon as our tour guide. He was great emailing back and forth planning the trip before we arrived to take in as many sights as possible. We came on a Celebrity cruise ship. The ship was two hours late due to the weather but he waiting patiently for us and still took us everywhere we planned.

Our first day we were gone from 9:30 in morning until 11pm. We visited Seljandsfoss and walked behind the waterfall. We also went to the Glacier Solheimajokull and walked on the glacier. We loved going in his jeep to the Black Sand Beach where we saw an airplane which had crashed. We also visited a beautiful waterfall named Skogafoss. We saw the volcano Eyjafjallajokull, Hekla and Reynisfjara (Amazing Basalt Columns and huge bird cliffs on the Beach).

My favorite part of the day was taking the Road to Thorsmork where we visited Gigjokull Glacier and drove over unbridged rivers. We had such a great time going through the rivers. We had a Gopro with us and had a blast videotaping other vehicles and our own going through the rivers. WE stopped for a quick bite to eat and then did the Golden Circle at night (Gullfoss, Geysir and National park Thingvellir). We basically covered what most people cover in two days in one full day. We were not sure if we would ever be back so we wanted to see everything.

The next day he met us early and was on time. We went to a cod farm and boiling mud area. We stopped at Lake Kleifarvatn and then went to the Blue Lagoon. We chose not to go in the Blue Lagoon because we wanted to spend some time in Reykjavik. We toured the city and stopped at Hallgrimskyrkja. We were back at the ship by 12:30.

My husband and I traveled with our 4 kids. Jon was great about being patient with the kids and answering all their questions. If we ever make it back to Iceland we will definitely call Jon to take us to the northern part which we did not see. I cannot say enough about our day and a half. Jon made it quite a memory for us despite the pouring rain we had most of the first day. We will never forget the wonderful time we had in Iceland.
