Definitely worth the short walk from the city centre. Gorgeous, scenic surroundings and was very quite when we went at 9am

This beautiful piece of art I found while walking towards the opera house. It was just sitting there with the mountains behind, asking me to take its photo.

Each time we visit is a different experience all over again. 1st was sunny, then sunset, and snowing! Appreciate the tranquility and serenity just listening to the waves and admiring the view. Stay with Hlemmur Square and walk for ~5 mins!

Lovely sculpture - highly evocative of the seafaring traditions for Iceland and the Northern Germanic culture of going Viking Good photo backdrop

A gift for Reykjavík’s 200th birthday this is a very beautiful sculpture. On the waterfront it allows for some quite stunning photos. No fee, easy to get to (just along from the Opera house) and lit up at night
