unpretentious casual hot tubs.
Great views.
There are several tubs with slightly different temperature. Opens until late so you can enjoy the sunset there.
There are also changing rooms and shower outside.
Make sure to have some cash on you- you leave the money in the pot at the entrance.

It is a great place to visit in the area, perfect for relaxing after a long road trip and contemplating the amazing scenery around. For Iceland prices, is quite affordable, the owner is a very nice guy and when I visited the place was lonely which made it a very private experience. Is really close to the main road, so if you are travelling without a hurry, you should try this place.

We arrived at four in the afternoon but nightfall was coming up. There was no one else around and we changed quickly and got into a tub. The sea was in the distance on one side, the Glacier on the other and the air had a January chill in it but the water was warm.

Relaxation, that would be the word.

In time other people turned up. You chat, if you want, or you don't but you feel like you are having an experience. This is not a tourist trap, not a "destination". Its five hot tubs at the foot of a Glacier and the afternoon has nothing to do other than this.

And that, weary traveller, is no bad thing at all.

This is a great place to stop if you are in the area. There are about five tubs at different temperatures that you can pick from. It is very peacefu and there weren't that many people there. It's open until 10pm too so you can go at the end of your day and chill out in the dark. It costs about 1000 ISK but is based on a gratuity system so bring some money along to put in the box.

There is an honour system here - which is lucky as if we had to pay standard Iceland prices if be really annoyed.
Changing rooms poorly marked and just a soggy room - hot tubs are really tepid tubs.

It's a hard no on recommending it! Spend money and go somewhere decent!
