This is a must-experience! Our cottage faced the fjord and pasture land just outside of town. It was so peaceful, and the owners were above and beyond in their hospitality! Breakfast outside and a naturally heated hot tub were just two of the many wonderful experiences there. The town of Akureyri was beautiful - we highly recommend walking the area (and don't miss "The Outlaw" sculpture).

Room Tip: Bungalow on the fjord

We had an outside cottage with access to the kitchen was extremely helpful to cook dinner. Breakfast was included as well. The cottage had a beautiful view of the fjord and easy access just outside of Akureyri. They were extremely helpful in getting us checked in early!

Andrea was a lovely hostess. She was fun to talk with because she shared about her life and the local community culture. Her guesthouse is clean and comfy. The breakfast was beautifully presented.
It is a quiet place with a lovely view of mountains and horses. Takk takk

We loved our one night stay at the Petursborg guesthouse. We stayed in a small room with full bath in the lower part of the house that it's own entrance. It was cozy and private. The owners were friendly and gracious and you can't beat the view. We were able to walk around to see the horses close up and get right down along the beach. It's also close enough to town that you can easily fetch groceries or other needs at any time. Breakfast was good and it was nice to stay in a real family home with the hosts' kids catching the bus to school in the morning.

This is a wonderful guesthouse. We stayed in a two-bed cottage which was so comfortable. We woke up to sunny skies, a horse pasture and a dog park. Breakfast is included in your stay. Staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place!

Room Tip: Ask for a cottage.
