Room was small and the AC barely worked. Several colleagues had same problem so it was hard to sleep at night. Room and bathroom were very clean and functional, but relatively small. However, room size was probably average for large European cities. Hotel breakfast was awesome and had something for every taste. You won't need to eat all day after your latte and limitless meal. I stay in a lot of hotels and this is one of the best breakfast's I've seen. Hotel is very central. 1 block to trainn station and within good walking distance to excellent restaurants and city sights.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to giving us feedback on your stay at the Sheraton Stockholm Hotel at the end of July. We appreciate all kinds of feedback and take all comments seriously.

I am happy to read about your good experience from our generous breakfast, and the location of our hotel is indeed very central. However, it is of course less pleasant to learn that you found the room too small and too hot. Regarding the room size, you are correct; our rooms are even larger than most hotel rooms found in Scandinavia.

At the time you were here, we had severe problems with the air conditioning due to high humidity (normally, humidity is quite low in Sweden so the machines are not fully prepared for hot and humid days). But after this last issue with the warmth, we hope to be better prepared for the next heat wave.

Should you come back to Stockholm, please do not hesitate to let me know, and I will make sure your stay will be more comfortable than last time.

Once again, thank you for your comments.
Warm regards,

Paul Peters, General Manager

We stayed here for a week in July 2011. We upgraded to the "Club Floor" principally because breakfast, together with general use of the Club Lounge, is then included in the price. The upgrade cost was approx. £400 for the week for two of us. As breakfast in the hotel is normally about £29 each per day, the upgrade did not actually cost much more than the breakfasts would otherwise have cost and effectively meant all the other advantages of the Club Floor were then effectively "free".

Our room on this floor was very nicely, and quite recently, fitted out, with a recent bathroom including a walk-in shower. The room was a good size with a sitting area and tea and coffee making facilities.

Breakfast was then taken in the Club Lounge, and was the usual buffet selection. There was a cooked option - this was nice but consisted of the same choice of scrambled eggs, hash browns and bacon each morning so got a bit monotonous.

The Club lounge had free internet access, with tea/coffee, soft drinks, and cold snacks available all day. But from 5.30 pm until 7.30 pm each day, they have a much wider choice of more substantial snacks, including a choice of two hot snacks ( which were different every day ), and wine/champagne/beer all at no further charge. We found this was sufficient to make a reasonable light meal in itself and definitely makes the upgrade worthwhile.

The lounge is, however, a bit on the small side and on occasions there may not be a spare table available.

Our room looked onto the internal quadrangle, an upgrade was available to a room with a view but that would have been about another £300 for the week so we declined.

We had very little contact with the staff during our stay, but those we dealt with were very pleasant and helpful and spoke excellent English. The reception desk had, however, lost the pre-paid accomodation voucher we had handed in on arrival, so it could have been rather embarrassing if we had not kept an extra copy !

The hotel itself is very conveniently situated, about 10 minutes walk from the Central Station ( and the Arlanda Express train station ) and about 5 minutes walk from either the old town ( Gamla Stan ) or the main modern shopping area and about 15 minutes walk to the ferry terminals.

We enjoyed our stay there, and for the above reasons, would definitely reccommend the upgrade.

Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for taking the time to post a review about the Sheraton Stockholm Hotel, describing that you were able to relax and feel comfortable during your stay here with us. However, I am sorry to hear about the lost voucher and I hereby send you my sincere apologies. These kinds of things should just not happen!

I am glad to hear that you were able to enjoy access to the club lounge, including breakfast, drinks and snacks. The summer is a very busy period and, just like you did, many of our guests choose to stay on the club level. Usually, this is not a problem but it can sometimes be a bit difficult to find a spare table in the lounge.

Once again, thank you for your comments. We hope to be able to welcome you back some time in the future!

Warm regards,
Paul Peters, General Manager

We booked through the hotel's website on one of its advanced saver rates for a three night stay, and then took their upgrade offer to a club room. This resulted in a very reasonable room rate for a Stockholm hotel. The room was a very good size, with modern neutral furnishings and decor. We thought the view was superb, from the front of the hotel over the water and bridges to the older part of the city. The room's big wide windows helped make the most of the view. The club lounge was a pleasure to use, both in the mornings for a very decent breakfast and for the complimentary drinks and canapes in the evenings. It was also convenient to use the internet station there. One disappointment was the very small sauna facility in the hotel, rather than a spa. The hotel is well located, although it did seem you were crossing several sets of roads to get to the entrance. It was a busy hotel but coped well with the large number of guests. We really enjoyed our stay!

Room tip: The club upgrade offer was worth the extra.

Stayed there with my wife and 3-year old for 4 days in July 2011. The room (gor it for SPG points) was absolutely fabulous, with spectacular view of Stockholm. The location could not be more convenient for someone wanting to explore the standard tourist routes of Stockholm - everything within walking distance (with a 3-year old, mind you), or easily accessible by public transportation. Great breakfast. The only minor thing was the weak Wi-Fi signal in our room, and the necessity to "purchase" free Wi-Fi access in 30-minute slots. Otherwise, great experience from check-in to check-out.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your stay at our hotel. It is great to read that you and your family enjoyed your room and the spectacular view. Considering the short distance to all main attractions in the city, the location is indeed excellent when travelling with children. With regards to Internet access, I am sorry for the weak signal which can sometimes occur in some parts of the building. However, we are constantly improving our WiFi.

Warm welcome back to the Sheraton Stockholm Hotel!

The first time we left the hotel we turned right, this was a mistake. To the right is a modern (well 1970's) conglomeration of shops and restaurants. This is the magic Stockholm ? my wife asked. We returned crestfallen to the hotel. The next time we ventured out it was to the left.. a different world. One minute from beautiful buildings, the enchanting waterways, the water taxis, in short the Stockholm we imagined.
When we had arrived at the Sheraton, being a Starwood Preferred Guest, though I am not aure what they prefer me to, the lovely lady at reception use my favourite word "Up grade", and it was. Great views, a TV with loads of stations, everything immaculate.

We hit a bad time for breakfast, there was a queue, but only for about two minutes, and it was worth while. A graet selection of food, and bliss, the ability to get our own tea and coffee, so they were hot when we needed them. More than one concierge on duty so never a queue to sek directions, and as we had access to the club lounge, a fabulous assortment of really fresh "snacks" and drinks. I recommend the extra for this as it paid off because food in restaurants is by no means cheap. We did however have one great blow out at the Grand Hotel Smogerbrod buffet. This was a graet occasion with fabulous views.
