I stayed for two nights while attending a course. The location, situated in the shopping area and 500m from the airport train, was great. Service was good and the food was okay. However, the place looks old and in desparate need of renovation. Paint was actually falling off the ceiling in my room. Next time in Stockholm, I'll be looking for a somewhat more fresh and comfy.

The hotel is situated at the top end of the main shopping area of Stockholm and approx 500m from the city Flybussen/airport train terminal.

I have yet to stay in a Scandic hotel that doesn't provide a superb breakfast and this is no exception.

The room was quite compact and the fabric was in need of some refurbishment but perfectly comfortable.

Good restaurants round the corner!

It's close enough to walk to most "tourist traps", staff is friendly and the rooms are rather fresh.
Breakfast is big and tasty.
General impression of the hotel is long, narrow corridors and a 70'ies feeling.
If you're just looking for an affordable nights sleep in the centre of Stockholm this is your hotel. If you want a "hotel-experience" choose Clarion Sign 100m away.

The location is super, but the hotel is very ran down and in need of renovation. The elevator is slow and feels a bit dodgy. The rooms are clean but everything is in need of being replaced with something new. Breakfast is standard Scandic which means that you as a Scandinavian will find what you expect in a breakfast some Pastry as well like croissant. Put for the price I payed 5000 sek for 2 nights it's not a great value for money. Even keeping in mind that the price of hotel rooms in Stockholm is steep.

Check-in and check-out can be painfully slow. Computer glitches are common. (I was asked to pay in cash for my room because the credit card system was down. Ironic, given that Stockholm is essentially one of the world's cash-less cities.) Breakfasts are a total mob-scene. If you don't arrive at precisely the right time, you won't find a place to sit. So you end up going somewhere else. There are other Scandic hotels in the area that work well. Perhaps it's the reliance on large tourist groups at this one, which makes it so unpleasant. Regardless, stay somewhere else and save yourself the frustration....
