Spend New Year's eve and first days of 2010 in this hotel. We had a great time here!
The location of the hotel is perfect. Very quiet and yet very close to the action. The bus stops in front of the hotel and the ferry is a few steps futher. Ferry takes you to Gamla Stan ( old city) or Djurgården. Or just walk.
We had some issues at the hotel which were all professionaly solved by friendly stuff. We stayed in two different rooms. The last two nights we spent in sea view room and to my opinion seaview is really worth spending extra money. Rooms are nicely decorated and very cosy.
Breakfast though can be improved. Coffee did not taste good and bread rolls were very hard. The variation of the breakfast buffet can be improved too. 3 mornings the same bread, the same ham etc is boring. It is fine to have just a few things but then make sure it is high quality. The salmon, for exaple did not have a taste of salmon but taste of smoke and fish fat. Come on, it is Sweden so if you serve salmon make sure it is good quality. But these are just small things and we already booked another stay in this hotel for summer. So, I must say it is a great place to stay in Stockholm!!!More
