My first visit to Karlskrona and the hotel is a stone throw away from the rail, along a quiet street.
There's a Gym located opposite the hotel for the health concious.
My room was located away from the main building, served with elvators to each floors.
Thank God for the heater and warmer for the towels which is most appreciated for the hash winter climate of late. The room space is alright for a 3-star. Included is a nice 32-inch LCD tv, Hair-dryer, no in-house electric kettle for hot breverages though. WIFI connection is good even in the toliet.
The plus point i must say is the spread of breakfast; scramble-eggs, swedish meatballs, crispy bacons, cheese, breads, musli & conflakes, juices and greens to name a few. They even throw in evening snack, although just modest soups and cakes, and sometimes pasta, it's good enough for me who's just tired to get out into the freezing street again.
They have saunas and ONE cycling machine, don't remember seeing pool though.

Stayed here on business in November 2011.

Stayed in the main building, one floor above reception. Not very impressed with the room, very basic. The room was rather noisy and there was a really strong smell from the kitchen early in the morning that bothered me.

They offer a complimentary evening snack buffet, not really dinner but you can get sandwiches, coffe & tea, cookies, soup and make your own waffles - nice touch! :) Same setup is offered as a breakfast buffet as well.

I'm regularly working in Karlskrona but I stayed here only once, after the first visit I switched Hotell Aston instead, sine it's much nicer. Hotel Conrad does have rooms in other buildings though, they might be nice, I wouldn't know. :)

Hotel is located in three buildings in the center of Karlskrona. We stayed in the yellow one. Hotel is very cozy, with courtyard, small garden with gazebo (where you can dine) and car parking (not very big, but hotel has another parking very close).
Room where we stayed was modern, cozy, super clean, with small but adequate bathroom and shower, comfy bed and decent selection of TV (flatscreen) channels (among them there were some Polish channels as well). One and only disadvantage was that there was no air condition and we had to sleep with window opened (room is small so it gets stuffy after some time in it), while on the streets some young Swedish folks were having a party or something and where yelling, running and God knows what else, so it was really noisy (weird thing that no one called for police or municipal police).
Breakfast was really great. As for 3 star hotel variety of food was really impressive (try those Swedish-style herrings, delicious) and it tasted really well.
Reception is opened only until 10 pm, but staff was friendly, helpful and kind.
Generally, it is a fine inexpensive hotel with basic things you need for a short stay in your trip.
Karlskrona is a small town, so everywhere is really close. It is calm, but there are enough places to eat or have a evening beer, however, it is an expensive place (for Polish at least) and paying for a simple dinner in restaurant the same amount of money as you pay for one hotel night is rather something that we’re not accustomed to. As for things to see south of Sweden has lot to offer. In Karslkrona there is a interesting port (on UNESCO list), historic market square with renaissance Church and tenement houses around, there are charming little isles you can go by ferry, seashore worst seeing (charming and calm), you can go to nearby Kalmar, where you’ll find a historic castle (in very good condition) or go to Oland Island (connected to land by 6 km bridge – awesome!), especially Ottenby on the south of island (nature park and lighthouse), where you can watch birds and feel Baltic breeze.

Room Tip: get a room from courtyard side, not form the street side

A small, basic room with no real view but a quiet, central part of town. Nice breakfast buffet but no bar and you will have to go looking for a restaurant at night - not always what a solo business traveller wants (though the Royal Thai just up the road is nice as is the little Tokio Sushi around the corner!). Staff attentive and helpful and the internet access is perfectly usable.

In the centre of Karlskrona in easy walking distance from the main square is this very nice and friendly hotel. The hotel consists of one main building and several smaller buildings located around the hotel's own backyard. The backyard has several cosy places with chairs and tables. The hotel is located in a quiet street. The room was large and a nice nathroom. The staff very friendly and helpful and the breakfast very good. Nice evening snack served free. Dietritic information about the food served was clearly posted. The only thing I do regret is that we did not stay longer in Karlskrona and this very nice hotel
