“Outstanding”

"The property is well equipped and very comfortable. Its situation looking out on the Ley a very large lake and a few metres from the beach is excellent. The bird life on the lake was a joy to see, swans, ducks, geese and a heron just a couple of metres away.
A shop, post office, pub, café and restaurant are also within a few metres

A truly spectacular cottage in a wonderful location. The cottage is extremely well furnished and the owners were extremely helpful. We had a fantastic holiday and are keen to return.

“Comfortable stylish cottage in lovely location”
Reviewed 24 March 2017 for a stay in February 2017

Renovated to a high standard, this lovely cottage overlooks Slapton Ley and glimpses the sea beyond. Very comfortable, spotlessly clean and stylishly presented. Really good range of eating and drinking both in Torcross and,for the more energetic, on the coastal path to Beesands and Slapton. We parked up on arrival Friday and didn't use the car until we left on Monday. Highly recommended.

“High Quality seaside cottage”
Reviewed 21 November 2016 for a stay in November 2016

This cottage has everything that you could wish for and more. We used the kitchen a lot and its really kitted out properly, not like some holidays cottages you get where the knives are blunt and there's only one wooden spoon and an old frying pan ;) Good central heating and double glazing so quiet and cosy even in Winter.

The only thing to be aware of if you have dogs and young children is that the front gate opens directly onto the road not onto the lagoon. This didn't matter to us as our little one can't walk yet.

“We'll be back!”
Reviewed 23 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Enjoyed a wonderful ten days at Waterfront Cottage which is a well designed and comfortable space where our every need appeared to have been catered for, including private car parking. The Cottage benefits from a great location where there's lots to do from the door step, particularly if you like walking and eating (as we do!), and plenty more if you are happy to navigate the narrow Devon country roads. If not, try the number 3 bus which runs between Plymouth and Dartmouth - a great service with spectacular views of the coast from the top deck. We could happily have stayed longer and will most certainly return.
