This is a difficult review to write. We loved Copenhagen, but the accommodation was not what we'd expected. I wouldn't recommend it to a friend, but I would mention it - and then list its shortcomings.
This rental is in a superb location, in the heart of the tourist centre. Watch boats and tourists from the front windows and, if you want beer and tourist food, you're in the centre of the longest bar in the world (the outdoor seating of all the bars along Nyhavn forms one long bar). Many tourist attractions including Christianshavn, Copenhagen Street Food on Papierøoen, Torvehallern market are all within what we think of as easy walking distance. Gorm's Pizza is good and it's just across the street, as it were.
This central location has some disadvantages. Nyhavn's bars were noisy every evening; with the front room windows open, the noise was more than enough to keep us awake in the front room. The smell of cigarette smoke from the street in front and the flats behind this one was annoying.
We were disappointed by the accommodation itself.
In summary: it served its purpose but looked and felt shabby. There is no air conditioning.
In detail: the owner may have confused 'air conditioning' with 'heating' as, although there are radiators, there was no air conditioning to cool the flat. This is Nyhavn's 'sunny side' (check Wikipedia) and the front room was very hot on sunny days. It's too near the ground to leave the windows open when we were out. I recommend sleeping in the middle room as it's cooler and quieter.
This is clearly an historic property: small rooms are to be expected, and these were clean.
But one of the four window blinds was visibly broken and unusable; another had to be manually re-wound if pulled down.
The bed was comfortable and the linen clean. Although the sofa in the front room was useable, it was broken, missing a side panel. We did not use the tv or stereo, so can't comment on their function.
There was an out-of-date carton of milk in the refrigerator and no kitchen towel, only a roll of paper towels to dry dishes in the kitchen. The bathroom and shower were tiny (look in the cupboard for the soap dish for the shower) and although they were clean when we arrived, with no ventilation (the fan in the shower did not seem to work), they soon smelled of mildew.
I have photos of most of these issues if needed.
