The best restaurant experience in my opinion, is to ask them to feature their specials. RetroGusto did not disappoint! They featured wonderful risotto, burrata appetizers and great pasta, fish and veal entrees. We were the only guests in the restaurant on a Wednesday night, but that did not diminish the quality of the food, service or pride of hospitality.

The restaurant is very nice, little but with an amazing atmosphere. Gianluigi is very nice and welcoming making you feel like at home. Homemade bread and Focaccia with Italian olive oil is served before dinner. Good wines and amazing food. We will for sure be back here next time we will pass from Copenhagen.

Do not jude from the simple design and the obviosly small Restaurant. ..go for the food, wine and the service.
We had a cod carpachio and a duck prochuttio witch was exellent.
For main meal we had a heavenly coocked veal cheak(meat of today )
Together with the recommended wine (an Aglianico grape wine) we had the most enjoyable restaurant dinner for a very long time. Thanks You Retro Gusto.
To any one reading this...please try the place and join us in the pleasure of really good food and wine.

We found this restaurant on Tripadvisor when looking for for good options for vegetarians. And good thing we did, because the exterior (and the pick and mix what you want-menu) looks like a 90s tourist trap from Mallorca. We would have never gone inside if we had not already made reservations. Well inside the interior is kind of a strange mix but never mind that; the food! THE FOOD! It's delicious and price-worthy! Also a couple of Italians came in and it is often a good sign when natives like the food.
