Very good design museum with lots of exhibits covering ancient through to modern design, including everyday items, decorative pieces, furniture, clothing, textiles, and graphics. Lots of look at and lots of inspiration. Definitely worth a visit.

So much better than the London Design Museum. A real great cross section of interesting work from across the ages and almost all the chairs I have ever loved. From Arne Jacobsen (this is Denmark after all!) to Eames and everything in between. Street furniture, textiles, graphics, posters.... its all here and beautifully curated.

Perhaps we were unlucky with timing, but a lot was blocked off for visitors and being worked on. Not a lot of appealing exhibits. A bit of a let down.

The Designmuseum Denmark had a Great exibition of chairs. The old porcelain was ok. The museum buildings was old and the interior needs to be upgraded.
