Owner description: Experience the historic and atmospheric buildings from different parts of Denmark at The Open Air Museum. You can see impressive and atmospheric buildings, old breeds of domestic animals in the fields and attractive, historic gardens. Take a ride in the horse-drawn carriage and find inspiration in the museum shop. Bring along your family and a picnic basket and enjoy a day at the Open Air Museum.

The open-air museum is definitely worth a visit if you're in Copenhagen for a few days. Very interesting to see what village life was like in the past and how the buildings were constructed for cold weather.

Highly recommended. If you're interested in history and love to spend time in the open air, this museum will be a great choice for you. you'll be given a map of the whole estate, which will help you navigate through and make sure you won't miss anything! The staff is nice and friendly. Toilets every half a mile.
Make sure you reserve at least 3 hours of your time to walk around! Would love to be back!

This is a very large area that displays homes and tools and life from the early 1400s to 1900. Each setting is a different century, along with live farm animals. They have tools from the 1400s on display! We loved every inch of this place. I would recommend a minimum of 3 hours but all day if you have time.

Great place to wander in and out of original and replica houses from all over Denmark at different periods in history. Plenty of open space for children to run and play. Cafe also good.
