My girlfriend and I spent four nights here in April/May 2014 and we had an absolutely lovely time. Where to begin... Our room was spacious but also cozy, with a nice kitchenette and wonderful balcony from which we could see the Ocean. The room was not fancy or modern but rather it was warm, welcoming, clean, and comfortable. There was a wonderful beach just five minutes down the hill, and the main town was an easy 15-20 minutes by foot. Maria and Dimitrios were absolutely magical hosts who despite not speaking much English made my partner and I feel right at home. They welcomed us upon our arrival with desserts and assistance from their son who's English was superb. Everyday we would return to the hotel to find a delicious treat, or homemade drinks awaiting us in our room. This was definitely a unique feature that really set Maria Studios apart from the rest. Even more, our lovely hosts had us for appetizers and dinner spontaneously after we popped in to say hi one nite. They were truly wonderful, and people we will not soon forget. Finally, for those wondering, the wifi worked well enough and the tv seemed to have some decent channels if you were interested. The kitchen was functional but could have used a stove or hot plate. Despite these minor issues, we adored this place and would certainly recommend to all especially families or young couples.

Unfortunately we didn't have the same experience. We had to call the police to be allowed to live there. The "problem" was that the second day of our stay one friend left and another one came. We had already informed them about this when we made the reservation, when we arrived there. But when the our friend came they insisted that he is visitor and that we should leave the hotel as it is against the general rules. To the police they said we didn't understand. Anyway, they ruined a bit our vacations.
Concerning the rest the hotel was OK, quite clean and quiet. The location is fine if you have a car.

Just got back from a 3-day stay @ Villa Maria in Poros. All I can say is that if you are looking for a neat, nice, cosy, CLEAN, self catering apartment to stay, then this is the ONE !!

We had a nice welcome from Mr. Nikos (the owner) upon arrival who helped us all the way to our apartment (#12). We also met his wife, Mrs. Elaine yesterday at some stage. Both were very kind, professional and always with a smile.

The apartment we had was spacious for a couple, with a lovely view to the swimming pool, and has everything one would ask for. From an ironing board, to a fridge, a boiling kettle, toaster, oven, kitchenware, all clean and at the right place. The bath (with a washing comfortable basin) was missing nothing as well.

Villa Maria is close to everything and I mean everything. There a supermarket round the corner which closes at 11pm. Dont forget to eat @ the Askeli Restaurant, and off course dont forget to try the wonderful pies @ the Odyssey nearby.

Next time we come, we know where we will stay...thats for sure. Thank you Mr. Nikos and Mrs. Elaine and have a GREAT rest of summer 2010.

Not only was Villa Maria the perfect place to stay, Poros offers tons to see and do. We planned to stay one night and move on, but after one look at Villa Maria we extended our stay to three nights. The owners live on site and offer excellent service. It felt as if they were welcoming old friends and went above and beyond to make sure our visit was restful and fun. The entire Villa was extremely well kept and classically landscaped. Our room also had a kitchen, with a grocery right around the corner, this made for easy breakfast, snacks and even dinner... however, there are wonderful minutes away. We especially enjoyed Olga's. The beaches are beautiful, the entire island is scented with pine and flowers. Strongly recommend renting a scooter to explore the island ($15 Eu all day). When we departed the owner took time to help us with ferry/bus tickets and called ahead to our next destination to get detailed directions for us.
