I am so glad I stayed here instead of in Sparta. Mystras was a beautiful low-key town and Pyrgos of Mystras was wonderful. This is a converted high-end stone home with some additions and the whole property was magical. I would also like to thank Mary and Maria for their great service.

Furnishings were quality, and it was enchanting to look out the window with a view of the Mystras Castle. The rooms were clean. and I even loved how the sheets smelled!

Sitting on the patio, it was very peaceful underneath the grape vines. We could also hear the church services and chanting between services and as we sat outside and it was lovely.

I will return! This was a very unique and special hotel.

This is a lovely inn near the center of Mystras with a beautiful breakfast room and delicious food. It is a bit hard to find until you know you can drive across the town square (yes, you have to drive up over the curb and past the tree in the middle). The sign on the hotel is only in Greek. We had a large room with a lovely bath. Our bed was a little soft for our preference, but it was very quiet. Mary and Maria are so helpful with restaurant suggestions. We ate at Skrekos, which was delicious. Definitely the best hotel in town!

Quality accommodation along with a sumptuous breakfast composed of homemade delicacies and freshly squeezed local provide the ideal means to enjoy the cultural and natural beauties of the region.

Words come short to describe the unique location of the Hotel Pyrgos Mystras, surrounded by the ambiance of the medieval castle of Mystras in constant remindance of the glory of the unparalleled Byzantine Empire.

Easter is THE season to experience the region at its best, as it is renowned for its orange trees spreading all around their unique essence!... The carefully maintained Olive groves are endless and along with tall cypress trees provide a magnificent landscape!

Service and hospitality are at top level encouraging a comeback and recommendation.

Fabulous stay with Mary and Maria. We were all thrilled with the attentive welcome, beautiful and warm rooms, awesome views of snow topped mountains sweeping down to Sparta. Concierge assistance that was personable and helpful including dinner suggestion. Ambience was a winner. Our group ranged from 78 to 10 years but everyone was thrilled. Highly recommended.

My daughter and I were in Mystras for a research trip and stayed at Hotel Pyrgos Mystras for four nights. We absolutely loved it here and intend to return. The inn is beautiful--an old stone home converted into a bed and breakfast. The rooms are large, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Mary, the owner, and her assistant, Maria, do are warm, welcoming and helpful. They helped us with visiting local sites and attractions. the breakfast is great and features house-baked specialties made by Maria. It's an easy walk to the town square for meals. It is also very convenient to visit the archaeological sites of Mystras. Highly recommended.
