We booked through Viala at Think Villa’s- very helpful and prompt with responses (we were a bit worried about bank transfer but no problem!).
As said in previous reviews it’s a great modern, spacious place an hour from the airport. Top end appliances and finished to a high standard. It’s pretty new- I’d say only built in 2017 so everything still top notch. Has nice coffee & water machines (save lugging heavy bottles around) which is a bonus. AC I’m every room and external roller blinds which black out the bedroom (great for our six month old!). Mrs Roula welcomed us with a basket of fruit and some cake and they even delivered some beautiful cakes half way through the stay. Cleaners also came half way through and cleaned, changed towels, sheets etc which was perfect.
The only point to be aware of is that it is really two villas in the one block (one four bed, one two bed). This works perfectly for us as we are two couples with a child each but could be a problem for larger families as there is no interconnecting doors- you either walk out into the garden and around the pool, or out the front doors (ie neither option good for unaccompanied young children).
Both villas have great outdoor areas so easy to be together for drinks and breakfast. Only other very small grumble is the bbq is in a strange location tucked around the side of the larger property so not the right place to bbq and entertain so we won’t use it... that said the village has 7+ restaurants of similar great standard at very reasonable prices so why cook?!?
The village- perfectly charming Med village with everything you need (honestly you don’t even need to drive to Rythemno Hypermarket which we did). Quick walk down to the bakery for fresh bread everyday, a nice butcher, two minimarts (prices not that different to Hypers), pharmacy etc. it’s absolutely what you would picture and a nice blend of nationalities here for the tourism too (not overrun with package holidays). If you have older teenaged children or you’re a couple with no kids it might be a little on the quiet side- it’s more evening meal and drinks than busy bars, but they are picturesque and set above the Med Sea with most of the restaurants looking out toward the sunset.
Overall we couldn’t be happier with our choice- if your contemplating, seriously just do it
Stayed here from 29th July for a week with a group of 10 people. Villa was simply fantastic! The owner Roula was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Our agent in booking was Viala and she was also very efficient replied quickly. Villa itself is very spacious, we didn't feel cramped - the design of two dwellings without an interconnecting door worked well for us as we had young families in one half and everyone else in the other half. Outside space is all shared and well laid out with several seating areas. Pool is about 10-12m long, slightly narrower at one end. Deepest section is 1.4m so kids can jump in ok. Villa is located up a hill and doesn't have any neighbours overlooking, so quite private. Walking distance to the village is less than 1km , takes about 8mins to nearest bar and restaurant, about another 5mins to the shops and more restaurants. Good selection of restaurants and great service. Prices were reasonable too, around 10Euro for many Greek main courses. The fish seemed to be the most expensive options which is odd as Panormos is a fishing village! We ate in sometimes, either on bbq or take out gyros. Several nice chilled breakfast cafes too. Small beach and harbour very calm for swimming and not too packed - kids loved jumping in off harbour wall (far better than water park and free). Overall, great villa and lovely village if you want a relaxing holiday.
Everything is available in the villa, which is modern, new and kept well-maintained. We spend a beautiful holiday here with a family of 6 adults and 6 children. The owner welcomed us late in the evening and had arranged pizzas, a bottle of wine and nice cake. We immediately felt welcome. The villa is on walking distance from a nice village, which is not too touristic and also walking distance from the beach. I can not think of anything negative. Not sure I should post this review though, as I would prefer to keep this place for myself.
Our stay here was amazing!! The house itself was amazing! It had a beautiful layout with designer furniture and top of the line modern kitchen appliances, and it had a private pool that we greatly enjoyed. The house was very modern and clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. They even had an amazing grill on which we made the most amazing local fish. The house also had a very nice garden around it, with many tomatoes and herbs that were delicious! We put the basil , rosemary, and mint in our lunch salad and it was delicious. The host was also amazing! They welcomed us with a basket filled with wine, fruits and local delicacies. They were very friendly, and were available at any time of the day to accommodate our needs. They never hesitated or had any problems with what we needed. They brought us fresh baked goods one morning for breakfast. Not only was the house amazing, but it was located in a great location. It was close to numerous delicious restaurants and incredible shops. The house also had an amazing view of the ocean and we enjoyed the sunset tremendously. The beach was also within walking distance. Would definitely recommend to everybody and come back if we are back to the same place !!
