“Blue Paradise aptly named”
Reviewed 22 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Can't believe there's no reviews on this place?

Really want to say I hated it, but only to put people off our little Paradise in a village so we can keep it all to ourselves!

What do you want from an ideal holiday?

Great views overlooking the sea?

Or peace?

Blue Paradise doesn't overlook the sea! It is in the middle of Crete in a village.......... but peaceful it is!

It's situated just outside Margarets, in a tiny little exquisite viilage, with a few shops selling pottery and a few shops for little things and groceries. They're not big shops, but sufficient for your immediate needs! A few nice little bars and restaurants and one in particular, can be very romantic over looking a dark valley at night! And all the shops and eateries staff are ALL extremely friendly also!

Elias the Blue Paradise owner, has fitted out the Blue Paradise to a very high spec!. A modern design and very spacious! Kitchen with a really nice seating area with televisions in every room, though you'll do little TV watching after exploring this fantastic island! Beds? Very, very comfortable, which makes a nice change!

The two main double bedrooms are all very spacious, with the upstairs having an en suite lavatory and sink and downstairs situated close to a bathroom with a bubble bath jet (which I never got to use unfortunately), shower attachment and lavatory. This area/room outside the bathroom, has a single bed in it, but room for a double! You will need to sort out when you need to use the bathroom as you'll walk into a sleeping area (if being used), either through the downstairs bedroom or down an ornate wooden circular staircase from kitchen/living room area. This area doesn't have to be a sleeping area, just depends on how many people are staying here!

The kitchen is well stocked and very clean.

The best thing about the Blue Paradise is the pool! Outside shower if you can't get into bathroom! The pool's not gynormous by more than adequate for your needs and you'll be in this pool until 11.30pm when it was still warm in mid September!

You get dive bombed by bats for about 15 mins in the pool, which is fascinating, and must mistake it for a pond and insect hunting, though we saw few insects except beautiful blue tailed dragonflies in the morning. Once the pool lights switch automatically, the bats disappeared!

There's glass panels on verandahs and stairs overlooking the garden and a small dining area at the top of the stairs and a larger outdoor dining area downstairs near the pool and sun loungers! Large sun shade umbellas! It's all here!

II do recommend a walk up into the village day or night! It's a typical Greek village with lots of lovely alleyways! Even on the main road, you hardly see a car! And the local shops and eateries open till late!

Blue Paradise is a good place to be based in, but you'll need a car.

But take care!

The road junctions can be baffling and some drive extremely fast on the busier roads and smaller roads!

And did I mention Blue Paradise was sooooooooooooo peaceful!

It really IS a place to relax!
