This is a slice of heaven. We went all inc and the choices were endless. We loved the spa and had the couples massage. The missus had hot stone (or something). The food superb, the service brilliant. Yes its hilly but we are in our 50's and one of us had a heart attack in Jan and no problems. 20 minute beautiful walk into Elounda and €6 back if you eat/ drink too much whilst there. Have booked sept already 😎😎😎xx

We stayed at Elounda Blu for six nights half board through Thomas Cook, a very nice small hotel ideally situated between Elounda and Plaka which could both be reached via a twenty minute walk along the coastline. We had a great holiday, the hotel staff couldn't do enough for you and all with smiling faces. The food was good especially breakfast and the facilities, pool, beach with loungers parasols and bar, and spa were excellent. The hotel is on a steep incline but they provide transport on a buggy up and down if you need it. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are thinking of going to Crete.

Room tip: The best views are obviously the higher rooms, but most rooms overlook the coast

Just returned from a 7 day break here for my partners 40th. It was perfect from start to finish. We upgraded to a private pool suite, the room was beautiful and the pool was great, if a little cold due to being in the shade most of the day. The decked area got plenty of sun though! The bed is the comfiest hotel bed I ever slept in. We were at the top of the hill which was very steep but golf buggies were always on hand to take us up and down.

The food was great. Always had a lot of choice but some greedy guests piled their plates meaning popular dishes like chips, calamari and pizza had a bit of a wait but this wasn't an issue for us. The drinks were good, I enjoyed the cocktail menu. We had a meal in the Asian restaurant one night and that was lovely.

The hotel organised a birthday cake for my partners birthday which was a lovely surprise for him. I also arranged for a bottle of fizz to be in the room on our first night. The staff were great and couldn't do enough to help us. There was some entertainment on. The dancing girls were great and the DJ on the Saturday was good. I liked that the hotel was quiet some nights, it was really relaxed. The no children allowed was also a massive bonus! It was bliss.

We didn't leave the hotel at all. We didn't really want to. It was nice to relax in the sun and go for a dip with food and drinks on tap. We did fancy going on the trip to Santorini through Thomas Cook but felt it was too expensive (€300 for the day for 2) so didn't bother. If we return, which I'm sure we will, we will stay for longer and actually leave the hotel to see more of the local area. The hotel had a little supermarket which was good and good value.

I'd highly recommend this hotel. It was luxurious and relaxing! The only slight negative was the toilets in the main building were a bit smelly at times but it wasn't a big issue.
