“Stunning Views & Amazing Service!”
Reviewed 22 October 2015 for a stay in May 2015

The stunning views and incredible hospitality extended by Alex & his family made staying at Oleo Prime our favorite part of our trip to Greece. We've stayed at many vacation rental properties before, but never have we experienced such wonderful attention & service.

The moment we walked down the walkway and through the impressive door (yes, even the front door is noteworthy!), we were enveloped with the gorgeous views and knew this was a special place. The various decks were so inviting that we wanted to stay outside. But inside was lovely & comfortable and was stocked with everything you could possibly need.

The gifts of food (delicious homemade dessert, farm fresh eggs etc...) were welcomed gestures, along with the daily cleaning by the loveliest lady. Alex & his father managed a fine balance of being available on a daily basis for advice or help of any kind, yet were not at all intrusive. When they found out we wanted to go to Elafonisi Beach, Alex called ahead to get the weather & wind advisory so he could recommend the best day to go. He helped arrange bike rentals, an enjoyable olive oil factory tour, as well as a memorable & delicious chef-prepared meal at the villa, which we thoroughly enjoyed (after a long day at the beach), while looking over the sparkling waters.

The drive into Chania is easy & the waterfront shops & restaurants are fun to peruse. Alex recommended eating at Pallas, which was absolutely delicious & our best meal out. Although the gyro place at the top of the hill from the villa offered affordable & quite yummy gyros and such.

There is a great grocery/liquor store just 10 minutes away, along w numerous mini markets w fresh produce & coffee. Our kids-18, 22, & 26 consumed multiple Café Frappes from the local shops, as well as home-brewed, generously supplied by the Villa. Our favorite market was Megith(sp?) w the green striped awning on the way Chania. We also enjoyed some nice lunches at the new restaurant @ the resort just down the street from the Villa. So new, we had to read the menu from the waiter’s cell phone as the menus hadn’t yet arrived.! But both the food & service were very good.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Crete – mostly due to this extraordinary villa and phenomenal hospitality. Many thanks to Alex & his family!

“Above and beyond our expectations”

Olea Prime delivered everything and more than we imagined possible from a holiday villa. Incredibly comfortable and equipped with every utensil, piece of crockery and electrical device you can think of, what really made it special (not that it needed anything more), was the hospitality of the owners. From meeting us at the airport to show us the way to the villa in the dark, preparing a freshly cooked supper dish to nourish us on arrival, to anticipating our every need during our stay. We had one tiny glitch when a power cut prevented the electric gates to the parking area from opening - Alex appeared within minutes to resolve the issue - and I could go on and on about the other acts of kindness and attentiveness shown to us throughout our stay at Olea Prime and then our second week at a smaller Olea villa. I would class our stay here as a combination of a luxury villa with all the services of a 5 star hotel. It suited all ages of our group - 3, 6, 11, 14 and four adults. Marathi beach close by was also without fault for cleanliness, soft sand, clear water, beach facilities and several restaurants, including a fantastic beach bar/cafe that we enjoyed on numerous occasions.

Liked best: Villa was perfect anyway, but hospitality took it to another level.
Liked least: Materials used for construction (wood) doesn't provide great soundproofing.

“Architectual Gem overlooking clear blue waters”
Reviewed 8 September 2015 for a stay in June 2015

This summer we decided to take an extended family vacation (nine of us) to Crete where Olea Villas became our home away from home. The villa is as beautiful as the wonderful host Alex presents in his photos. Almost every room has a spectacular view of the bay and the outdoor seating area by the pool with its platform hanging over the cliffs is a perfect place to relax after a morning of sightseeing in the nearby town of Chania. Alex and his father went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and that the villa was well equipped with whatever we needed. We would highly recommend Olea Villa for anyone vacationing in Crete.

“Idyllic, peaceful and stunning”
Reviewed 8 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

From the moment we arrived we knew this villa was going to be special! It is a totally awesome piece of architecture which is even better in reality than in the pictures. The owner, Alex and his wife greeted us with a beautiful basket of organic fruit, biscuits, local bread and wine. They could not have been more helpful throughout the holiday by booking us taxis and restaurants. In fact all the people in Chania are so incredibly nice. The lovely maid did a great job and even brought us some fresh eggs which were delicious. Staying at the villa is a dream with shaded areas, gorgeous pool, and close to the local beach which was also delightful. Watching the sun rise every morning from the viewing deck with an expresso coffee was unbeatable and a scene we will never forget. I can totally recommend this villa to anyone. What a holiday!

“A magic stay in a wonderful place!”
Reviewed 18 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We spent 2 wonderful weeks in Olea Prime, and everyone was enthusiastic in our group of 8, ranging from 10 to 70 years old.
I could have written all 5 star reviews posted by previous guests of July 2015, and I confirm they are100% true.
Alex, his wife and his father are incredibly welcoming, caring, helpful and discreet people.
They do not just rent their house, they did their best to make our stay unique, from our arrival at the airport where they joined us, until our very last day.
They offered many presents all along our stay: a generous welcome basket and several typical and delicious pastries and meals, home made
Alex was always at reach, proposing useful information (starting with a Google map with many links and advices) like a real concierge service that made all activities easy: shopping, boat excursions, paddle on the bay, scuba diving (if you're diving, don't miss Elephant cave nearby), restaurants and beaches
The villa offers all facilities, as expected from the detailed and accurate description.
A gardener and a housekeeper make the place beautiful and perfectly clean.
Also, you must try a diner with the chef Stefanos, that turned the villa into a private restaurant.
And from Sunrise (on the sea just in front of the villa) to Sunset, we enjoyed many magic moments in this amazing property.
A wonderful place we hope to return soon!
