What an amazing place. Clean and well organised. It is like a trip back at this era. A definite must see if you visit Athens.

Lots of statues and historical information about the Acropolis, and the history of Athens. There is a Lego version upstairs for the kids, two shops, and a restaurant. Worth a visit before going to the Acropolis itself.

This is an amazing museum, and for someone who is studying ancient history, it is a must see. The amount of information about the era and the rise and fall of Athens is incredible, and the artefacts themselves are astonishing, especially the ones still with the remnants of paint on them. Entry to the museum is free if you are an EU student (ID must be presented), so it is definitely worth it!

Having been burnt by the sun in Greece, looking through the loads of historic monuments in the comfort of indoor environment was deeply appreciated. You can spend hours in the museum but it's a pity I only had a few hours to stay in this amazing place.
