“Nice Hotel in good location.”
Reviewed 11 October 2011

In most of the hotel reviews I read for Athens the location was bad so for us finding a good location was our priority. We felt really safe walking the 15mins from the hotel to the nearest Metro station and didn't mind the walk. Staff were very friendly and the rooms was nice. Tried the jacuzzi bath, wasn't amazing but was a nice added bonus. Would recommend this hotel although when we paid for the room they tried to charge us for two bottles of water from the mini bar that we didn't drink - it finally got sorted though.

I stayed here for four nights in a triple room with family. It was a good sized room and bathroom and immaculately clean. We arrived when the taxis were on strike so the hotel were very helpful in arranging the minibus to collect us from the airport. We found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly during our stay. The staff on reception were always available to answer any queries that we had. The hotel is about a 30 minute walk from Zeus' Temple, but there is a bus stop only a few minutes' walk away with regular buses going to the centre.

Breakfast was a good buffet, but the same every day so after four nights it did get a little boring. We ate in the restaurant one evening. The meal was good, but nothing special and maybe a little overpriced.

Reading a couple of reviews below, I do not think you can rate the hotel badly for having a small lift!! Big group bookings surely aren't that popular and if people feel so strongly about having to wait a few minutes to use a lift then perhaps they should use the stairs!!! Also, there must be different sized bathrooms throughout the hotel as our bathroom had plenty of space and we had a shower over the bath so again, plenty of space to move around! Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here but the only downside is that it is not directly in the centre of the city.

I stayed at this hotel for a week. The location was convenient with respect to the place where I was supposed to have a meeting, so I chose it. It's in a residential area, off Syngrou Avenue. There is a bus stop within 5 mins walking distance but there's no metro station close by. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are mid-size, neat and clean but the bed was not very comfortable. The shower-cabin was rather small and I kept banging into it at the slightest movement while showering. The complimentary breakfast was ok in terms of variety. The hotel does not have in-house laundry service, so it may take a couple of days to get your clothes washed.

I have stayed in this hotel for one night. It was a group booking so it wasn’t of my choice. The area is not far from city center if you know how to use public transport but still you have to walk 10-15 minutes to the nearest metro station.
Generally the hotel looks nice with decent sized rooms, large bathrooms, large balconies, but for me, some issues affected negatively my stay:
Firstly there is only one elevator for two people with luggage or 3 without luggage so when our group of 25 people arrived, had to wait up to 10 minute to get in.
The mattress was rock hard so it was impossible for me to sleep.
The balcony looked abandoned for ages.
The shower cabin was too small for me to fit in (and i am not 100 kgr !!! )
There were some places full of dust in the room.
And finally, the breakfast was very poor.
I don’t think that I can recommend this hotel.

Athens Atrium is very practically in the center of Athens located (close to Intercontinental). Parliament Acropolis and old town are max 10 min by car or 3 busstops plus 2 metro stops away, 15 car minutes to port piraeus. The nighbourhood offers supermarket, hairdresser, tabaco store, atm/banc, pastery stores, restaurants and coffee shops all completly authentic. All centered behind Agia Sophia Church - surounded by a green parc - which was donated by former queen Sophia after surviving a car accident at that spot of Leoforos Singrou.
