Visiting this stadium is like been part of the origin of the modern olympics games.
A must visit monument in the center of Athens.

It’s not the size that will amaze you,as there are bigger stadiums in the world, but it’s unique because it’s all made of marble!!! It sparkles under the wonderful sun of Attica!!! It’s also the finishing point for the authentic classical marathon that takes place every first week of November each year!!!

It's a unique stadium because is made of white marble before almost 100 years! It is situated in the center of Athens near Zappeion gardens so you can combine the visit of stadium with a nice stroll in the gardens just opposite of the stadium.

This is huge, and to walk around there, and see this huge stadium, made of stone, this is fantastic.

One can really appreciate the size of this stadium by being here. The free audio guide explains the history and the layout of the place. The all marble seating area makes this place not only grand, but also beautiful. It is surely a one of a kind.

This is the final destination of the traditional Athens Marathon which makes it an even more epic experience. This marathon is on the original Olympic marathon course and people come from all over the world to run it. It's very large and impresses on you the significance of the history of the Olympic marathon. Should Definetly be seen if you're in Athens!

Just an enormous place with seats for 80000 people.
Very clean almost clinical.
Not archeological interesting.
The museum which is all about Olympic Games is interesting when you want to buy advert posters of years ago.
You haven’t much missed if you skip a visit.

On the way to The Acropolis our bus tour group stopped here for 10 mins and I’m so glad we took advantage of the opportunity afforded us. Easy access and was very large in stature. I especially enjoy the breeze that allowed the beautiful blue and white Greek flags to wave.
It may not be a place you’d spend a long time, but I believe very worthy of the few moments you do spend there to appreciate its magestic beauty and history.
