The Divine Caramel is a large modern hotel popular with business and leisure travellers and in a fairly upmarket area of the city. We requested a quiet standard room and were given 344. It was large and comfortable with a desk all along one wall, plenty of power points and storage space. The window faced another part of the building but we could see a chunk of blue sky, and there was no noise from other rooms or traffic. The bathroom was nice with bath and shower over.
We did not use the rooftop pool but it looked attractive, surrounded by chairs and loungers. Neither did we eat in the hotel, but used the cafes around the corner for breakfasts. All the staff we encountered were helpful and efficient, speaking excellent english. Check-in and check-out were speedy and our luggage was kept on our departure day until they put it in our taxi to go to the airport. Taxis were instantly available, being around 10 minutes and 10 euros to most central and popular destinations. Our taxi to the airport cost 40 euros.More
