My wife & I just stayed at the Athens Gate on our recent trip to Athens. It was amazing. We were treated like VIPs from the moment we arrived (even after a 2 day delay getting here). The room was very nice and the view from our balcony was amazing (definitely get a room with a balcony so you can see Zeus Temple from your own room). The room was comfy and plenty of room. It even included a small fridge(mini bar). The room service staff did a fabulous job every single day. The room was definitely a superstar!

Another superstar of this hotel is the rooftop restaurant & the morning breakfast. It was beyond delicious and so many choices. You won't find a better breakfast anywhere and the view is to die for. We could see the Acropolis / Parthenon while eating. That in itself is worth the cost of the room.

Do yourself a favor and don't look anywhere else when booking a room for an Athens stay. You won't find better at any price! You won't be disappointed

Room Tip: Get a room with a view of Zeus Temple!

Very nice hotel in a perfect location. The hotel is steps away from all of the major tourist attractions in Athens. It is very well maintained and comfortable. The staff was very helpful. This hotel is a great option in a big city.

Got an opportunity to stay at this fantastic hotel for 6D5N. Got to say that the main selling point is the rooftop restaurant. The 360degrees view of Acropolis, temple of Zeus and mount lycabettus is probably the best in the Athens city center. Other than that, the staff were always helpful too and accomodating. We were offered plenty of help, advice and on our last day when we had to catch an early morning flight to Santorini, we had a 4.30am wake up, taxi booked and ready at 5am and 2 breakfast boxes for us. I highly recommend this hotel for all travelers for its strategic location and excellent service.

Boutique hotel right opposite the remains of the temple of Zeus in the historical (read tourist) part of Athens. It is all about a Great location.

Staff are very obliging. Rooms are small but very functional.

Air conditioning is very welcome. Rooms fairly well equipped and spotlessly clean.

Location is oh so good. Literally around the corner is the avenue that is lined with restaurants and leads to the the walk up to the (side) entrance to the acropolis. So good that you can walk up in the morning and when tired come back to the hotel for a rest before doing more in the afternoon.

Breakfast, included with our tariff, is served on the roof top garden with fantastic views of the acropolis and the whole of Athens out to the Mediterranean.

The only drawback is the noise of the crazy Athens traffic which does seem to die down at night.

Room Tip: Higher Rooms avoid traffic - don't even think of brining a car !
