“The treasures of ancient Greece...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 February 2012

One of the most important thinks to do during visiting Athens. I suggest at least two hours to cross it and enjoy it completely.

“Museum worth the visit, neighborhood bad”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 February 2012

The museum was wonderful. Very good plaques labeling everything in greek and in english. Very nice interior. Outside was another story. To get to the museum you must go through a really bad area, druggies shooting up on the sidewalk. No one bothered us but pretty bad area to have your National Museum in.

“A comprehensive collection of antiquity.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 February 2012

A magnificent museum with every thing displayed well. There are assistants in all rooms who will try to answer any questions you may have (in english if necessary) but do not try to do the complete museum in one visit unless you have great stamina.

“A myriad of archaeological wonders”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 February 2012

It is an amazing collection of artificats dating back many thousands of years. It is quite a walk and in a while, alot of the collections look exactly the same, so best plan ahead, go on the website and plan what you want spesifically to see. The statue of Zeus/Poisidon is a definate must see!
