SALA has to be one of the nicest resorts we have ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived, we felt so special. The resort is located on the beach with great facilities. The pool was beautiful and clean. We had our 1st wedding anniversary and had booked the private dining on the beach which was beyond amazing. We had a movie night on the resort with complimentary chairs and popcorn. Breakfast is delicious but we would of preferred more non pork/bacon options. The beach is perfect and quiet. We can’t wait to go back. Thank you for a memorable holiday.

Spent five days here and was so impressed. So much so that we have already booked to return later this year. We had a stunning garden pool room with French doors to a patio with large day bed, decent pool (larger than a plunge pool) and a good sized garden and outside bathroom with large shower and bath. Having said that, we saw the standard balcony room which was also pretty good and if like us, you prefer being by the pool or on the beach, you may not use the private pool too much. The pools and beach area are lovely. The restaurant (where breakfast and dinner is served) overlooks the beach and is understated, contemporary and stylish. The food offering is fantastic - breakfast is actually a pleasurable experience (unlike in many beach hotels) as hot food from the a la carte menu (both Thai and Western) is freshly prepared and served to your table along with freshly squeezed juices and good quality coffee. Given the relatively small size of the hotel, breakfast is quiet and relaxing, never too busy. We also had lunch most days at the beach restaurant which was great and dinner in the evening was also excellent. However, there are lots of other dining options nearby, both on the beach and in the village. We used the hotel gym, did yoga each morning and paddle boarded a lot - all complimentary. We also watched a movie under the stars (provided once a week) which was a nice touch.
The service was impeccable. Without exception everyone I dealt with was charming and professional. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

The reception is kind of a shock when you arrive as it misses the design approach of the rest of the hotel. However when you passed the reception you will relax within minutes which is a combination of calming architecture and lush green. The service is excellent and extremely friendly. The villas are spacious and well maintained. Pool area is a place of serenity and the restaurant has simply good food and good wines all on a high level. Beach walks are kind of limited as the beach is not that long and shared with other facilities which don't have the level of Sala.

Room Tip: go for a two BR villa.

Me and my wife have travel frequent to Thailand for more then 20 years, alone and with our daughter and sometimes with friends. This time we went alone “only” had a week to spend. We wanted to find a small peaceful high quality level boutique hotel and we found Sala Samui on Choengmon Beach.

What a pearl! From the minute you check in to your check out, you’re taken care of by the most friendly staff in the most beautifully designed surrounding. We stayed in their beautiful pool villas and could enjoy our own garden and pool together with an outside bathroom, everything designed with care and a impeccable taste level.

Two things matters extra to us when traveling, beds and breakfast. Beds. We slept long and extremely well, honestly better then most vacations in Thailand, thanks to their comfortable beds and that we could pick a “favorite” pillow by our preference from their “pillow selection”. Breakfast. The buffet is small but very tasteful and every thing your wish for was there. The delicious smoothie and juices was made swiftly by request and so was anything from the a la carte menu that offers a rich selection of western and Thai dishes. The fact that most dishes and juices was made by order made the breakfast, delicious, peaceful and very personal.

The beach and pools have everything you could ever wish for. The black long pool for relaxing swimming. The beach with their sun beds, parasols and Sacco chairs offer relaxations in the sun or shadow. The excellent and friendly beach staff serves water and fresh fruit and makes your day a joy. Thank you Uam and team!

For the first time we had most lunches and dinners at the hotel, not because we where lazy but for the superb kitchen. Try their daily beach Thai lunches, always tasty and beautiful presented. The food tasted so nice so we decided to take the Thai cooking class lead by the Chief Max. Honestly we made the best lunch ever when we learned how to cook our Thai favorites. Thank you Chief Max.

All in all, the best week we had in a very long time. If your looking for the perfect relaxing hideaway (even though on a busy beach) the Sala Samui is it. The General Manager, always around and friendly, Mr Simarro and his team of professional, friendly and service minded staff will make the stay memorable and a true pleasure. We will definitely come back.

Gorgeous facility and location, wonderful kind and sweet staff and excellent service. Simple elegance, lovely outdoor feeling. Not glitz, which we loved, just relaxing and nurturing place. Fabulous food. Only suggestion: could use a bit more convenient storage in the room.
