Our trip to Antiqua was for 2 weeks and we rented this villa (1 of 500), all looking alike but different colors. Most of all abutted against the harbor where you could tie up a boat. The villa was a small 2 bedroom, 2 bath , small living room, adequate kitchen and dining area. All was facing a large patio where you could eat meals and soak up the sun.
Americans would find things different or lacking. Towels and linens were changed once a week. There were no toiletries furnished so bring your own soap, shampoo, wash cloths, and even dish washing soap. Having traveled much of the world, this was the first place we were told we had to buy our own toilet paper after using the one furnished roll. We also had to find and furnish our own garbage sack.
The couches were not comfortable so we had to bring in 2 patio chairs to sit and watch TV, which was an old set of 16-17 inches and the remote did not work(no guide to TV stations)
Annoying was the stopping at the security gate on every trip to be asked for a pass which we didn't have and not told how to get one. The grocery store was 1 mile away but many days they were out of things. Supplies will be in in a day or two.
The best part was the warm sun and warm water at the beach--a five minute walk away.
