Tavernelle is a quite village with easy access to the mountains and the coast and we managed day trips to Florence, Pisa, Lucca and the Cinque Terre. The palazzo easily housed 17 of us with beds to spare, over 4 apartments all with bathrroms and kitchens. There is also an adjoining flat. The beds are comfy and kitchens pretty well equipped, the pool is cool and welcoming. The whole place is full of character. Mirella and Francesco and baby Elena pop in frequently and are full of helpful sugestions regarding excursions, places to eat, things to do and will book things for you if your Italian is as bad as ours!
They also cooked us a meal one night for a family birthday, served outside; a fantastic event!
