Our hosts Maria and Alain greeted us warmly upon arrival and gave us a very helpful route for seeing the city of Porto. We wandered through the vast echoing rooms and found our bearings after cooking a great meal to share. The pool area is lovely, the grounds are large and beautiful. The house is a funky mix of antiques and modern. One of the bedrooms has a huge modern bathtub and fabulous shower.. Wish we had stayed longer!
We (6 adults) enjoyed our stay tremendously at this vey large home. The rooms were tastefully and authentically decorated and the Portuguese tiles everywhere were a real treat to see!
The home is very large...in fact it took a day or two before we could remember on what floor our bedrooms were and where the kitchen was located! The kitchen was large and preparing meals for all of us was not a problem.
Our hosts were welcoming and very responsive to the few queries we had. The only suggestions we have would be to provide plastic tumblers that can be taken down to the pool and to provide a couple of little tables to place beverages and snacks beside the lounges. (The pool was huge and very clean and a lovely spot to relax)
We certainly would recommend this wonderful spacious property.
This was a great villa for a family and / or friends. The pool and poolside was wonderful and very clean. We used this location to visit Porto, Braga and Guimaraes, a car is required But as well as seeing the cities we also spent time relaxing by the pool. The house was well equipped and very clean (and large). Maria the owner was very welcoming and kind. The garden is large, We went in September when all the fruit in the garden was ripe which was lovely. Already recommended this property to friends!
