Visited this restaurant three times whilst staying in the old town area of Funchal. The restaurant is nicely located in a narrow street of restaurants giving the area a lovely atmosphere. The service is welcoming and very efficient with members of staff having clear roles. A nice touch is returning customers being warmly welcomed back by name. My wife and I are not big eaters so missed out on the starters but did enjoy the fresh rolls and dippings. We both had a mixture of meat and fish main courses over the visits and both types were beautifully presented and a delight to the taste buds. My wife's favourite was the pork fillet in coconut milk and mine the prawns (langoustines) on wild rice. Amazing!! On our last night I had creme brulee which I have eaten all over the world and this was the best. Another nice touch was the sugar was caramelized by blow touch at the table. This is one restaurant I would highly recommend but I would strongly advise booking to avoid disappointment.
