Description: Praise there is aplenty for Come Prima, one of Lisbons best-loved traditional Italian restaurants. Being a bit tucked away on Rua Olival, an easy walk from the romantic Tapada das Necessidades gardens, is part of the restaurants considerable charm. A reassuringly cosy atmosphere, lovely lighting, wooden tables and chairs and friendly staff - Come Prima hits all the right notes. Expect wonderfully simple Italian classics - tomato soup to tiramisu - freshly prepared with skill and care. Some diners have said the pasta and pizza are the best theyve ever had. Whats certain is Come Prima hand-make their pasta fresh, and bake their pizzas to perfection in a wood-fired oven. Nice wine list, too. Ask for a table upstairs where its cosiest.

I saw great review about this restaurant in tripadvisor and made a reservation with expectation. We took a taxi because it is little bit far from busy street and hotel(location wasn’t good) and before ordering they gave us some bread and 4pieces of tomatoes bruschetta(we didn’t ask nor ordering). We surprised their complementary food and ate almost of it. But it wasn’t.. they charged us for bread (about £4) and bruschetta (about£6), we realized it when we paid. (Also after dinner the server brought little two glass with some Portugal alcohol and asked we want it... we was full so we denied-still we think it is s complementary wine or tasting wine etc)

We really unpleasant and mass up the first impression about Portugal ( even taxi driver was over charged us too..)

Dear client,

I am sorry to hear the comments but the truth is, we never call the starter as the complementary food and also we never charge port wine, limonocello and grappa when serve as complementary drink at the end of dinner. We are very sad that you did not talk anything about our food and service rather talked about reaching the restaurant by taxi which has nothing to do with us.

Thank you.

Regards,
Chef Tanka

We visited this Restaurant on a busy Saturday - had no Reservation (we are a family of five).
There was no problem getting a table even they were very busy. Rui made our night special, helped out with wine, choose the right dish for my husband.
Our girls had pasta and pizza-all very yummy.

This place has been well reviewed..
It's famous in Lisbon.
Most tourists will go here..
But, a word of caution... Its average.
Nothing to write home of...
The restaurant itself is old. Needs a desperate make over.
Service was nice... Tiago knew well and served well.
But, this is a place where tourists come and eat. Not many locals.... Spends would be 30 to 40 euro per person... Pizza was nice. Rather authentic. Pasta was average... The beef carpaccio could have been better... Some pics will give you an idea....

Dear sir,
You called us tourist trap. If the comment was read by local people from Lisbon, they will laugh :). None of our restaurants aren’t in tourist areas, all of them are known as hidden local restaurants. We will continue to serve best Italian food cooked by our hearts and with a BIG smile :).
