Nice but very small room witha quite a comfy bed. Bathroom clean and equipped. Unfortunatelly there is nothing to prepare a tea or coffee in the room. Wifi is free and very good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Additionally breakfast was really a superb suprise.
Hotel itself is very well situated for central Lisbon walks and airport - near Intendente Metro station and app. 15 minutes walk to the city centre. Going out of the hotel however leads to a not recommended neighbourhood and that's why we were not going out at the dark.

Room was rather small but bed was comfortable. In a newly re-furbished hotel we didn't expect sockets to be so inaccessible. We had to ask reception to turn on the heating because it was cold - could only be done centrally. 'Balcony' turned out to be a full length window which, for obvious safety reasons, could not be opened more than a few inches. Plumbing is a problem here. Bathroom smelled dreadful at times, as did reception (where I noticed a handy can of aerosol spray on the desk). Turning right out of the hotel leads to a very seedy-looking area, not recommended. When you add on price of breakfast and parking charges, this was definitely not a reasonably priced option. We drove in one day to find the car park entrance blocked by a large car. We asked at reception, who advised us it was the owner's car and he was in a meeting in the hotel. Neighbours were now threatening to call the police as we were blocking the footway. Twenty minutes later, owner appeared and took his car to the basement car park, gave us a grumpy look and went off. Not a word of apology for keeping us waiting. Extremely rude. Only saving grace was the staff, who were friendly and efficient - especially when I had to return for a forgotten coat after checking out.

Convenient location near Intendiente metro station, walking distance to the historical centre. Well decorated, clean rooms. Good free WiFi. Simple but tasty breakfast in a cosy area. No restaurant, no bar. Do you really need it at the hotel in Lisbon?

Hotel is well situated for central Lisbon and airport, being near Intendente Metro station, and about 15 mins walk to city centre. It offers bed and breakfast but has no other restaurant or bar. It has good free wifi. Above all the staff were very helpful, especially Liliana, chief receptionist, who assisted me when my purse was stolen. (Beware pickpockets throughout Lisbon.) Very good value about equivalent to a Premier Inn in the UK.

The Fenicius is a recently open hotel near Avenida Almirante Reis. Our room was at 5th floor, an attic kind of room with 2 windows with panoramic view through the Intendente area, one of Lisbon districts. The room was modern, spacious, clean, with several local and international channels TV, a small vault, air conditioned and a comfy bed. The bathroom was modern as well with the usual extras in need.
Breakfast was ok, with eggs, breads, fruits, pastries, juices, coffee, milk, tea...
Staff was ok, kind and helpfull when needed it.

The 'howevers':
Being a recently open hotel there are some issues to improve, such as the shower (if you like a hot water bathing there's no pressure in the shower, to increase pressure you'll have almost cold water... very annoying, specially in december)
The temperature in the room, as bathroom, wasn't very warm for an hotel, you need to turn on the ac almost in maximum power but maybe there was for the fact of being in 5th floor.
The breakfast schedule isnt't very kind, ours was 7:30-9:30 (they have a small breakfast room so they have to book it by turns floor by floor, to avoid everybody going at same time... very Painfull after a the New Year Eve party.
As for the location, although being 100 mts to Intendente metro stop and bus and 20 min walk to city centre, the area isn't very appealing (lot of chinese, africans and india citizen business in a bit degradating zone needing some renovation.

Thank you for your review.
As a new hotel with only two months old we are still noticing some defaults so we are taking care of some punctual situations, which are now solved.
You are always welcome.
