We were staying in Lisbon for a couple of nights and were looking for a seafood restaurant near to our hotel. The Rio Coura has some good reviews, so we decided to give it a go.
We ordered vegetable soup for starters, with swordfish and seafood rice for mains. The vegetable soup was very tasty, but that's where the enjoyment ended. Despite the restaurant being half empty, the mains took ages to come, and when they did, the food was very disappointing.
The swordfish definitely wasn't swordfish, it was some sort of white fish with a long thin bone running through it. It didn't even have the texture or look of swordfish, and was far too white in colour to be swordfish. The seafood rice was average, but nothing special. It had a generous amounts of prawns in it, but contained lots of shells and it was difficult to pick our way round them all.
We were so disappointed that we didn't bother with dessert and left promptly.
